folks,
quick reminder about how this group works:
Do make posts about stuff you find interesting or would like to discuss with random DU members
Do try keep the tone of posts polite, though it is understood the heat of the moment may drag the tone down a little
Don't be a dick
Don't take it personal if neither myself or Viddax join in on your discussion
way I see it, i'm here to facilitate not pontificate. this space is as much yours as it is anyone's
Don't let other members tell you if you can or cannot post here. this space is neutral. ..sacred even :D
Do come and go as you see fit

Duality spirals into Unity
I don't agree with the notion that good requires evil to achieve balance. Good is inherently complete and balanced on its own. Evil, on the other hand, represents a temporary stage in which God explores more aspects of Himself as part of His grand process of Creation.
Duality is more about choice whether to align with universal principles of order or to embrace chaotic destruction, which inevitably leads to suffering.
Ultimately, it's about symmetry: two harmonious states that complement one another. Perfection exists on one side and is mirrored on the other, always maintaining its essence of perfection. However, symmetry's perfection does not mirror rotten holes.
In this sense, duality teaches us that our actions carry consequences and that we must take responsibility for them.
If evil were necessary to balance good, harmful actions would not trap us in repetitive karmic cycles. Freedom from this cycle arises when one no longer tries to manipulate fate, leading to a transcendent liberation.
Negative actions cause us to spiral into chronic challenges, creating cycles of hardship. Therefore, the conflict between good and evil isn't a state of balance but rather a repetition of unlearned lessons. Overcoming these lessons opens the path to true freedom and alignment with the flow of life.
To grasp the essence of science without recognizing the reality of God is futile. Atoms are a fundamental key to understanding God, as the atomic structure mirrors divine creation, embodied in the form of Metatron's Cube.
In the realm of physics, a negative charge is a property of particles like electrons. This occurs when the balance between protons (positive) and electrons (negative) is uneven. Negative charges are vital for the formation of matter because they interact with positive charges to create stability, forming the building blocks of the physical world.
It's important to note that the term negative is descriptive, not a moral evaluation. It is part of the duality inherent in the universe, where opposites, such as positive and negative charges, create equilibrium to sustain systems.
Negative charges play a crucial role in phenomena like electricity and magnetism. Without them, the existence of life as we know it would be impossible.
In Hindu philosophy, Shiva, the Destroyer or Transformer within the Trimurti, serves as a force of necessary destruction that paves the way for renewal and transformation. Alongside Brahma (the Creator) and Vishnu (the Preserver), Shiva ensures the cycle of existence continues. Like electrons, which generate energy through their dynamic movement, Shiva's role might seem destructive but is essential for maintaining balance and regeneration. However, this transformative destruction respects cosmic order and does not descend into desecration.
Hindu thought emphasizes that dualities like creation and destruction or positive and negative forces ultimately converge into unity. Similarly, negative charges work in harmony with positive charges, supporting the stability of the universe rather than opposing it.
Metatron's Cube arises from the Fruit of Life, a geometric pattern of 13 interconnected circles. Connecting the centers of these circles forms a three-dimensional structure. This geometry encapsulates the five Platonic solids, which represent the foundational elements - earth, air, fire, water, and ether. Sacred geometry proposes that energy flows through these forms in spirals, mirroring the movement of electrons around a nucleus.
Atoms illustrate the principle of duality, combining positive protons, neutral neutrons, and negative electrons. Their dynamic interplay creates a balance akin to the cosmic dance of Shiva and Shakti.
Contrasting forces, such as light and shadow or creation and dissolution, appear distinct but are interdependent. Metatron's Cube reveals how these forces, through spiraling motion, integrate into a harmonious unity, transcending the apparent separation of duality.

I finally finished my epic poem!
Hey everyone! Apologies if this is not the spot for this-- A ways back I began composing an epic poem. I had started posting some of it here, but took a long hiatus from it. I have finally finished it, and am in search of critique for it. I'll be posting it to my account, hgnichols weekly until it's all there. If you have time, I'd love for you to take a look!
Chat GPT Poem
on the road less travelled, in a moment so rare
fate wove its threads, two souls to ensnare
did god play his games to make us appear?
did destiny's whispers lead us here?
years had melted away, but we exchanged a smile
our hearts leapt with joy, a flame recompiled
in the midst of the crowd, we stood as one
a reunion destined, long overdue, yet begun
time had danced by, like petals in the breeze
and fate, in its whimsy, brought us to seize
time has passed by like breaths in the sleep
reunited in a coincidence our souls yearned for
our eyes locked in a dance, memories rekindled
like embers awakening, long dormant and kindled
in the depths of our gazes, a world was unveiled
untouched by time our connection prevailed
our conversations flowed like a familiar song
moments and stories retold before long
we spoke of the paths that life had taken
of dreams pursued, and hearts awakened
coffee wasn't enough for our stories
she invited me to her place to ease
as I stood at the door, nostalgia in my eyes
my memories awakened, a love that never dies
when I stepped in through an opulence
a richness to be adorned with every glance
I marvelled at the radiant and grand
she just smiled and took my hand
a symphony of colours defined her taste
I thought now I should leave in haste
she had won in her life for sure
I am still holding the folder of brochures
maybe she knew that I felt discomfort
she smiled and said "let's have a drink first"
the familiarity eased my tension
felt like she's never lost her affection
our laughter, our whispers, a tender symphony
wrapped in the tapestry of sweet destiny
shadows adorned her face, a veil to conceal
a truth yet untold, emotions to reveal
we danced in silence, a dance bittersweet
two souls reunited, yearning to meet
passion erupted like a blazing fire
as old love rekindled, burning with desire
our bodies entwined, like vines in the night
eclipsing the past, igniting the light
in a moment of bliss, their souls intertwined
I thought we were destined, our love realigned
in the hush of the moment, a symphony awakes,
as fingertips trace the contours, tenderly it takes.
a dance of anticipation, hearts drumming in sync,
as lips seek lips, in a fervent, yearning link.
the air is electric, charged with primal fire,
as bodies intertwine, fulfilling their deepest desire.
silken skin meets skin, in a sensuous ballet,
exploring every curve, as inhibitions sway.
sighs and whispers, a language understood,
in the rhythm of breaths, emotions unspool and flood.
moans escape, like melodies in the night,
echoing through the chambers, pure delight.
each touch, a spark, igniting flames within,
as passion blazes, casting shadows on the skin.
bodies arch and writhe, surrendering to the bliss,
in this sacred union, where souls find their abyss.
time becomes an illusion, lost in ecstasy's embrace,
as the world fades away, leaving only this space.
two beings, entangled, their desires intertwine,
as they ride the waves of pleasure, a symphony divine.
in the depths of intimacy, vulnerability blooms,
a merging of souls, banishing all earthly gloom.
with every thrust, they carve a tale untold,
of passion unbridled, a story to unfold.
in the crescendo of climax, they find release,
an explosion of ecstasy, a moment of pure peace.
bodies shudder and tremble, in rapturous delight,
as they bask in the afterglow, bodies alight.
suddenly a phone call, a cruel twist of fate
her words changed the space resonating its late
the room grew colder, and my heart shattered
I acted like I didn't hear it, though it mattered
again our eyes gazed, this time a confusion
I asked her again to clear my delusion
her voice trembled, as her head hung low
"I have a customer, you must go now"

Creativity
What do we consider creative? Is it a new idea or is it an idea never heard of before? One may find it very hard to come up with something entirely new like a new word, for example, matate. But what if I told you that this word is stolen, yes stolen. It means broom in Hebrew. Now ask yourself. If this world was entirely new, someone actually came up with a new word. Would you believe him? What about you? If you came up to me and told me: "I have invented a new word for a broom, matate, how cool right?! I am so creative!" knowing full well that you stole itl
