You aren't wrong, Ever.

I think if he hadn't gotten blatant with it, he might have gotten away with it; as he/she had in the previous incarnation.

Banning makes sense.

Blocking makes sense.

Plagiarism application makes sense.

But we come back to this same question, the one you just posed... how on earth do we make it stick?

I think that's what we hope to brainstorm here?

Yeah?

All humans started off female.... therefore you have tits.

Fuck. One day I'll have a conversation that I don't work tits into.

BUT NOT TODAY.

Seriously, what are your THOUGHTS. Beyond running to the WB right now.

We have flushed out interesting aspects of the issue and possible approaches, it's a good start to a discussion that is likely to be ongoing, as AI becomes more implemented in its applications to our lives. Cathedral makes a sobering point in regard to proof, but also about deception.

As we've discussed these issues, I've noticed a common thread among people speaking about this, that they suspected content was AI generated. It's been my experience that, at least thus far, chat bot generated content has a kind of uniformity about it that reasonable consideration can parse for what it is. So I suppose, for the time being, if you believe the content you are seeing or receiving is AI generated and the person posting has not declared it as such, thusly causing you to possibly consider that person disingenuous in nature, we can do what we've always done, choose whom we will and will not interact with.

I hope by all means that we'll continue to discuss the issues surrounding chat bot generated content and arrive at reasonable conclusions together.

I was told there was beer and tits in this forum.  Bullshit.
But, since I'm here.  And since I'm passionate about beer and tits and writing, and two are off the table...
Some writers in here are impossible to duplicate(yet). Or to replace, yet.  Notice how the free form writers have something unique to their craft?  Because they aren't corralled by meter and rhyme and structure.  They're literally purely writers for the sake of writing.  And not poets looking for the holy grail within their ability to write a poem.
I already mentioned to someone how those particular generated poems were although technically good, they were cold. Zero emotion. Zero bruises and devoid of all the wonderful human errors that make us so beautifully flawed.  I noticed right away that something was off about those writes.  They were a bunch of "blank words", if you try to absorb them.
Hopefully someone gets my meaning.
Same as the poetic replies/tribute replies.  You can change the name of the recipient and interchange every reply to anyone.  Zero personal touches. They are literally copies. And now I know why.
There is a zillion dollar business in the sex toy industry.  And those things can rock anyone's world. Yet people still hook up with actual people.  Why is that?  Because some aspects cannot be duplicated by nonhuman things.  So far same as writing.
Writing is sometimes mental fucking. Mental love making.  They're mental connections that are distinctly and obviously below "perfect".  Because our hearts and guts and stuff get in the words too.  Machines aren't there yet.  They can get us off with a well structured poem. But, they can't create the feelings yet.
I applaud the real poets in here who try their best and actually give a shit.  And hopefully I'm not being duped by AI ,when I reply with sincerity to their effort. There are some really good poets in here.  And some really good less than poetic writers.
I don't know how we can control the inevitable.  We probably can't. But, some factors cannot be duplicated or replaced yet.  We have to look for the subtleties.

Well said Styx, it couldn't be said with more genuine feeling.

I was also here for the beer, tits, and mechanical things.

I mean, fuck, I echo the others.
