Introduce yourself....
Well, since I've found a slight liking to this site in it's infant stages, figured I might as well introduce myself.
You may all call me Alucard or Unsound. I'm known most any where on the net as Alucard due to most of my time spent on RP sites, where I play the role of Alucard as anyone could have guessed. I'm twenty, I work full time as a pharmacy technician and my hobbies include video games, website design, anime, manga, drawing and obviously poetry.
I have been writing for about, hmm, six or seven years now. I have about a hundred or so poems, maybe only thirty of which are worth reading. Most being remakes, or simply just bad poetry that should not see the light of day. I am a man with a mind and I often enjoy proving this fact. I always have an opinion, you can never shut me up and to be honest, I'm a bit of an ass. It's nothing personal but I find it disrespectful to fake nice. I have a motto to be true to myself, which means being true to those around me. If you end up not liking me, I suggest getting over it because I won't waste my effort not liking you.
Anyways, that is just a tid-bit about me, if you want to learn more than read my poetry or talk to me some time. I'm a very easy going guy that is easy to chat with. On a final note, I'm single and looking, so if there is any cute girls in NC, be sure to say hi. ;)

I like your motto. I'm the same. If you can't be true to yourself, you can't be true to others. There's no point in pretending to be nice, or as you said "fake nice". Be yourself, and if someone doesn't like you for who you are - it's their problem.
A bit about me:
Nicknames: Chaz (given by my Grandpa who passed away late 2008), Ace (given in University as I always Aced my tests - yes I'm an egghead LOL), Acer-1 (my game guru name - I'm a massive games nut. Playstation, PC, etc...), D'Artagnan (given by my friends as I am alot like the character from the 3 Musketeers by the same name).
Name is Charles, but Chuck, Chuckie, have all been used to get my attention. I don't mind too much, but my preference would be to call me Ace or D'Artagnan.
As stated above, I'm an avid games nut. I love RPG's - absolutely awesome.
Movie-wise - I love horror movies, although most of today's horror movies are moreso comedies really. Seriously, how many times does one need to back up against a door or a curtain and be surprised that the killer pops out from that exact place. OH WOW, DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING. LOL The old-school horror movies are the best - The original Exorcist, Amityville Horror, Halloween 1 & 2, etc... Most of the gentre nowadays is just gory nonsense. That's not scary, that's just sick. LOL
I'm a medical trainer and conversion engineer. I work for one of the leading Medical Practice Management Software companies in the world. We'll be branching into the US market later this year.
I'm a born and bred American, but moved to New Zealand in late 2001. I love the USA and miss it dearly. I will be moving back over the next few years.
Poetry: I have written a lot of poetry, some of it is published, most of it isn't. I write what I feel. Most of my published work is in the romantic genre, while all of my darker work has been kept private to me as most times nowadays you can't really be too expressive or you get censored or other such nonsense. This site looks to be the remedy to that problem.
Well, enough about me - if you'd like to know more, come have a chat. I'm open and outgoing - always open to discuss almost anything. Thanks to the webmistress and this site for being here and giving all of us poets a place to openly express our creative works.

I am Shaddoww A. Vega. I am a little-known writer from the United States. I have some published work and have touched others with my writing around the world. I also found the ad on Facebook for this site, as I was checking on the status of my own Poetry page. My page is good for those who just wish to see my work, but here I get to enjoy the writing of others. I have read many poems now and know that this site has many gifted members. Hello, one and all.
It's kinda hard to do an introduction without being retentive, isn't it? Well - I'm Eloise, and I write poetry. It's observational, usually romantic, mostly dark, hopefully unexpected. It's a therapy, it's a personal perspective and usually it's bloody difficult to put a handle on. I hope you enjoy it! I've been writing for several years now, and I'm studying French and Linguistics at University. In my spare time I go running on the beach, listen to metal, teach my bellydance class and try to burn autumn colours into my retinas.
Make us a cup of tea, and let me listen to you all!!

This is good, thanks for hosting. I went to school for this shit years ago, then got lost somewhere along the way. When I finally figured that out, I sold almost everything and moved to a cabin in the mountains to write that novel that I've meant to write for years...
Poetry is more of a hobby, but it answers an echo inside me the way prose almost never does.
