Each zodiac sign is born with a polarity that remains throughout their lives. Knowledge of this polarity and a subsequent balance between opposites can prove stabilizing regardless of what planetary aspect we may face on a daily basis. However, ignoring this polarity can appear devastating when facing a difficult aspect, such as a challenging square.
In this case, the polarity for Taurus is Scorpio ( and yes, the resolution for the polarity is different - as you read when the Moon transited Scorpio earlier this month ).
Taurus are ruled by Venus, the Roman goddess of Love, beauty, and appreciation, particularly for the arts. In astrology, Venus' influence inclines toward a love of luxury and exceptional creative ability.
As a fixed Earth sign, Taurus are sensuous and sentimental. They may not give lavish gifts as tokens of affection because they are not carefree spenders, value is what you can expect for a hard-earned buck. They are willing to follow their hearts; however, may find it difficult to display their feelings openly, as they are very private and contained individuals.
As Taurus can be dogmatic, living with them isn't always easy. They do have a surplus of energy; however, don't expect them to use it when you want them to. They are more apt to put it to use when they decide to. Despite being shy and reserved with strangers, you can be a wonderful host or hostess and truly enjoy entertaining those they are fond of through good food and wine in a plush environment.
Taurus' natural home is the 2nd house, showing how we handle the possessions we hold dear. This includes money, objects, and the qualities we value in ourselves and others. This house also holds the side of us that takes care of what we have and what we buy for ourselves. It also reflects our self-esteem and sense of worth.
Conversely, Scorpio, Taurus' polar opposite, is the sign of endings and regeneration, legacies and shared wealth. The wealth of Scorpio natives tends to be spiritual rather than material, which they give to other sin the form of teaching, writing, and the healing arts.
So how do we reconcile these opposites in order to achieve balance? According to Stephen Forrest: Honesty, shadow-work, and courageous emotional investigation heal denial, lassitude, and materialism.
What this means is that to reconcile inner/outer polarity, Taurus should learn to relax more and not place so much emphasis on material possessions, but spiritual avenues of gratification. Ten minutes of meditation or deep introspection can bring much more pleasure in the long run than counting ( or re-counting ) assets ( once again ).

Mercury Rx may have caused misunderstandings, particularly in close relationships; however, it stations direct Wednesday, so miscommunication and/or misunderstandings should begin to level out. Remember that Juno is occupying Libra - the asteroid of committed relationships, and affectionate Venus enters Libra Thursday, the sign of face-to-face relationships.
This week is all about close relationships. Family is defined in many ways. The Last Quarter Moon occurs around a week after the Full Moon. It only looks half-lit because we can't see the other side from Earth.
Scientifically, we are merely viewing the reflection of sunlight off the Moon. The amount of light we see changes throughout the month because of what is called "Lunar Phases" and a result of her trajectory and our visibility. She is also Earth's only natural satellite.
Scientifically and astrologically, the Moon tangibly affects our moods in the same manner it affects all bodies of water on Earth, being our bodies are roughly 60% water, and our brains 90%.
Because the Moon's gravity creates high or low tides according to her phase, it's reasonable to assume that she affects us as well.
Digging through Science and Astrology uncovers Spirituality.
Symbolically, this phase pulls upon intuition, understanding, and letting go. When the tide pulls the ocean outward, the ocean releases the shore, and deposits what it can no longer carry back within itself. These deposits are enjoyed by shell collectors across the beach.
Therefore, we, too, need to release what we can no longer carry because it does not suit our greatest good. Imagine if the ocean resisted the gravitational pull of the Moon by attempting to retain all it was meant to leave behind? Mythology:
The Roman Goddess Ceres' origins are in the Greek Goddess of the Earth, Demeter, who ruled agriculture, fertility, and had power over the cycles of life and death. She is known as the Archetype of Mother Earth, representing provision and nourishment.
The myth is a metaphor for nurturing and reflects how we care not just about others, but ourselves as well. Nurturing ourselves enables us to reach our full potential so that we may authentically nurture others.
The seasons are attributed to her because her daughter, Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation, was kidnapped by Hades to co-rule the Underworld, at which time Demeter refused to allow growth until she found her daughter.
The fields withered and humans starved so the Gods intervened. Hades was forced to return Persephone to Demeter by the Roman God Zeus ( Greek God Jupiter ), whereas they made a pact that Persephone, now Queen of the Underworld, would only spend half the year with her mother, and the other half with her husband.
Thus the seasons spring and autumn, representing receiving and letting go.
Ceres in Astrology:
While Ceres does point to our wellbeing and selfcare, its placement can also indicate past traumas, particularly childhood vulnerabilities and struggle. A well-placed Ceres would indicate a parent who is balanced, loving and nurturing whose children grow up to be independent and self-sufficient adults.

Hygieia stations retrograde in Taurus @ 2:05 PM, EDT, 1st House, the home of Aries ruled by Mars.
I began studying Hygieia back in March, when she entered Aries.
Known as a Greek goddess of health, cleanliness and hygiene, her name is the source for the word "hygiene". As the daughter of Asclepius, the god of medicine, she is also associated with medicine and healing.
A reference to Hygieia as a goddess of health appears in the Hippocratic oath. This oath requires physicians to swear by different healing gods, including Hygieia, that they will adhere to a set of ethical principles of practice.
A human-sized statue of Hygieia, the goddess of health, was unearthed by archaeologists from Dumlupınar University in August 2021. The statue, which depicts Hygieia holding a snake in her arms, was found in the columned gallery along the south wing of the agora in the ancient Greek city of Aizanoi.
Hygieia embodies health through the harmony of body and soul, heart and mind, and the balance between external success and internal tranquility.
Neglecting one for the other can lead to discomfort in one's disposition, potentially resulting in physical symptoms, mental distress, or emotional suffering.
When Hygeia entered Aries back in March, it heralded a potent new period that could inspire positive health and healing transformations.
