Right now I listening to Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky. Always gets me in a dark, gothic kind of mood just in time for Christmas. I was always the wacky girl who growing up if my father said Santa Claus was giving me coal in my stocking I tried to think of all the ways I could use it to prank my friends the next time they come over. Fortunately, no coal was ever delivered so no coal related pranks were done either.

Earlier today, I was listening to Carrickfergus by Charlotte Church. Always one of my favorite singers of all time!
For personal reasons, that song always manages to bring tears to my eyes whenever I hear it, but it is just so beautiful it fills me with joy as well. Certain songs just possess a certain magic to them that reaches me deeply, and this is most definitely one of them. It helps that my wife Chloe is also a big fan of Charlotte Church, which makes my appreciation for that artist even greater still. :)

^What do you do with a drunken sailor? Indeed. You can buy a Real Life Pirate Experience. Real life apart from the fact it never leaves shore and there are no scurvy, rats, plague, guts being spilled or a bit of pillaging. And the air doesn't smell of shit, piss and death. Some people will buy into anything. I blame Depp. Quite partial to a sea shanty mind. Lol
^^ Charlotte Church is a Welsh institution. All was ok, until she decided to sex it all up. Madonna or Beyonce she is not. Cerys Mathews is a more real Welsh pop diva.

I can't link from my tablet. Maybe because I'm ignorant. I dunno.
Worth a look:
J J Grey and Mofro; "The Sun Is Shining Down". Live version. Usually the first one that pops up.
Pay attention to what he is saying in the beginning. (In his truck. That version).
A lot of people don't realize that Florida has huge areas that are very rural. Undisney. Unbeachy. Just regular ol folk who just get by best they can.
This dude preaches it.
