simple prosaic of #ThomasHardy from #TheMayorofCasterbridge.. a quoted will of Henchard in the story’s end.. but feels such melting poetics in within… weeping in a Himalayan heaviness, digging in an oceanic pain.. juzme :(

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn’t remember her troubles, and
milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles: and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it’s always ourselves we find in the sea
- E.E. Cummings

When Women Save the World
Catharine Henderson
The Dalai Lama says, women will save the world
I'm not a Budhist, but, he could be right.
You old men messed it up. It could be beautiful.
There could be harmony, but, you'd rather fight.
Now how's that workin' for you?
You'd rather make a wasteland
Than plant a garden.
Well that's just wrong!
When women save the world, there's gardens everywhere;
There's food for everyone to spare.
When women save the world, there will be so much love
No one will suffer or despair!
When women save the world
No more acid rain;
No more toxic waste;
No more war, disease or pain!
I once met Tipper Gore. I'm sorry they broke up.
But life goes on, and so will we.
But we have got to stop polluting planet Earth-
The only home we got- Agree? (Yeah! Sure you do!)
So, can't you see it happening
The future's so exciting
It makes me want to sing out loud!
When women save the world... it will be twice as nice
When women save the world... it will be Paradise...
When women save the world...

""Ghost Groom""
On a dark,brooding night.
There was a haunted mansion in sight.
They say it used to be lively and fun.
Until they got killed and the killer ran.
The dusty windows drive you in.
Making you want to go inside.
You make your way over to the old, wooden gates.
And you walk on the wooden, floor plates.
There is a piano, but not an ordinary piano.
That seemed to be playing a song.
A lovely,romantic lullaby.
That would soothe anyone that does cry.
On the stool appeared a ghost before you.
He is a dead groom.
Corpse,sweeping with a broom.
He wore a fancy suit.
And has bright,blue eyes.
His image,alluring.
As you look at the starry skies.
As he gets up,he extends his hand.
And the piano keeps playing his song.
Suddenly, you are wearing a fancy gown.
That turned your frown upside down.
You took his hand and swayed.
To the lullaby of forbidden romance.
Is what he sang to me.
As he held my cheek with glee.
You find yourself allured by his eyes.
His ghostly presence hypnotize.
As you two sway to the piano playing.
He sings, love is in the air.
And maybe tension in every breath that we share.
The two of you dance haunting, love tango.
Seems like he fell for you.
As you play a game for two.
I love you,is what he said to me.
His ghostly presence hypnotize.
Even though he's dead,you realize.
The past, sadness in his loving eyes.
Left,abandoned at the altar.
From a time that's very far.
When he was alive,he was known by all.
Before his death, the one big fall.
Now he wanders his mansion all alone.
Waiting for someone to make him feel alive, warm.
My darling, can't you see that love is in the air?
Is what he said to me.
As I held him close, dancing with glee.
And when I looked into his eyes.
They allure and hypnotize.
I said, love you to the bones.
It's like we are playing a game and he knows.
Eventually, he became my groom.
As his bride, I felt swoon.
Truly a forbidden romance.
As we die together and our love stands.

Sometimes I reread this poem. It inspires me when I feel sad. Sometimes I even write such poems myself. I used to write with the help of a writing service, I used https://ca.edubirdie.com/ for this. But over time I started trying myself. I am not ready to publish my works yet. For me it is like singing in front of an audience, I am shy and scared.

From childhood’s hour I have not been
As others were—I have not seen
As others saw—I could not bring
My passions from a common spring—
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow—I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone—
And all I lov’d—I lov’d alone—
Then—in my childhood—in the dawn
Of a most stormy life—was drawn
From ev’ry depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still—
From the torrent, or the fountain—
From the red cliff of the mountain—
From the sun that ’round me roll’d
In its autumn tint of gold—
From the lightning in the sky
As it pass’d me flying by—
From the thunder, and the storm—
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view—
Alone by Edgar Allan Poe
