Nasty Hangover

The throbbing in my head
Will never go away.
My tangled up bed

Sheets are starting to sway
And the walls are spinning.
I really hope and pray

To get up. I am not winning
This battle against gravity. I
Will be living as a sinning

Soul. Why the hell did I try?
Everything is too loud and
Cranked up. Even to pry

My eyes open is a like a refund.
I am beyond stunned.

Sounds terribly unpleasant!  Each entry makes me more thankful I've never experienced a hangover before!  Thank you, eswaller, for your entry!

Okay, guys, give me a bit to go through your posts again and figure out how to award someone. So many great entries!

Thank you everyone for taking part! These were all great entries and choosing wasn't easy.

Congratulations to Abracadabra for the win. You took me on a painful comedic journey with your write. ☺

AnExploringWarrior, I loved that you took me to an unexpected place with your write. It felt like an emotional version of the physical agony the others described.

MichaelMorgue, I enjoyed how yours took me with you in the wording. Your last line summed it up completely for me. ☺

I want to award each of you who participated, but they only let me have 3. I enjoyed reading your work and perspectives. Thank you! ☺

Big thanks TT - you pulled in some great entries.
My first ever hangover trophy.
I'll try not to break it on the way home.
Let's hope we've put you off overdoing things just before Xmas hits the fan.
Best ~ Abra
