Human's Odyssey
The fact is that it would mean the world
is something different than what it looks,
like some kind of simulation simulating us.
Such excitement for this is our eternity,
for now to forever I promise that as
the best thing ever is when the sun goes
high quality of life in a prison of sorts.
Oh wow! It's full of stars and maybe even
starships today issued instead offered a lot
of imagination imaginative space in my head,
broken-hearted people who have been involved
for years experiencing the same sampled view.
Look all the way up, the company has multiplied
by no one knows how much though the thoughts
of one direction directionally challenges the brain
cells to today advance toward the same
objective, objectively demonstrating inside the
box wondering how wonderful life can be if we
believe wonderfully made galaxies and universes.
Beautiful made structures black stone messenger
communicating with former myths of course you're
terrified, but how terrific is the most recent version
of a world no one knew existed, now we know a
little more about what our existence means to the
point of viewer. Point of view we could have never
imagined. Discovery. What this all means not many
have any idea, yet another reason to explore further
furthermore proves man's willingness to willingly
explore the new horizons even if horizontally
the horizon seems to move out of sight meaning
that is the end of the never ending question of
are we alone alongside our mind's new understanding.

An older write of mine, thought I'd throw it down to help kick things off.
THUS PLAYED ZARATHUSTRA
A Child of Rock & Roll
A farm boy from the Wisconsin cold
I didn’t like classical music at all
Till I found myself in a Movie Theater
Thinking I was about to see
Another Sci-Fi feature
But there were no
Monsters or Aliens
Instead a troupe of apes
Screaming and chattering
Till the breaking of the dawn
When one of the creatures
Discovered a bone
Could be used for a tool
Or a weapon of war
When he began breaking bones
The Vienna Philharmonic began
Playing the theme song 'Zarathustra'
I felt my hair stand up on end
Goose bumps rose on my skin
This was more than a Sci-Fi fantasy
This was 2001 A Space Odyssey
From that day I believe science
Does not contradict evolution
For humanity has, and will continue
To evolve both physically and spiritually
And when I look up into the starry night
I hear ‘Zarathustra’ played back in my mind
I am overwhelmed by the mystery
Of what we do not yet know
And in my wonder, I find spiritual ecstasy
When I was a farm boy, during the summer, I seldom saw friends unless we were doing field work together. The exception was Saturday night, when we’d meet at the old Gem Theater, in New Richmond Wisconsin. At that time my view of the world was limited. Till the night I saw 2001 Space Odyssey. Since, I’ve come to realize that there are no limits to my life or soul. ‘Zarathustra’ was more than an inspiration, it is a cosmic hymn.

Nemo: Just posting here so you're able to choose a winner, between Lanooz & Snugglebuck, when this closes out in the morning. Comp threads need a minimum of 3 entries by different members, in order for the website software to allow a winner to be chosen, so my post counts as an "entry", even though I've been having a writing dry spell lately and couldn't come up with anything for this one.

HAL will not recognize only two entries
As a competition, Madam
HAL knows whats good for us
Be careful of HAL, Madam
You tried to trick him
He reads lips, Madam
He is sucking the Oxygen from the room
Its no use telling us now, Madam
A tower rose
Angry monkeys
Evolvie into 2001
Two towers fall
HAL cannot entrust humanity
To humans

Monolith
After the kill of its
first taste of blood
And tossed a raw leg bone
high up in the air,
a hairy ancestor
where we would come from
began a dominion
that lasts to this day.
But being on top's
not what it's about,
that's why we can't live
as if we're all alone.
The monolith's window
to see deep within,
to show how it's done
from the collective brain,
universal, beyond us
as Homo sapiens,
overseeing what we do
if it means start again,
of unwinding
then beginning,
the moment of truth
with a blinding flash...
the aging earth being
faces fate within
the cyclical monolith,
its embryonic gaze
