Leave it alone (revised)
He was lying in bed trying to sleep but the creaking of his house kept him up like it usually does.
His imagination got the best of him when he thought he heard footsteps in the attic so he grabbed his shotgun and went to investigate.
He pulled the chord attached to the retractable stairs in the ceiling and the creaking stopped as the light shone upward into the darkness.
Hesitantly he climbed the rickety stairs and looked inside but there was nothing there so he turned and climbed back down, raising the stairs back into the ceiling when he reached the bottom.
He laid his gun next to the bed and climbed inside the sheets wrapping his arms around the warm body next to him but he suddenly remembered his wife was at her mothers house and a voice said to him "a gun can't save you from me"

She awakened with a ray of sunshine on her face coming from the window with the busy street underneath.
“Where am I?” she wondered, and her heart began to race as she licked her parched lips and felt a couple of newly missing teeth.
She heard laughter from the other room and felt an impending sense of doom.
But, because she was unable to find her clothes, she was confined to the small room.
Just then, a biker walked into the room with a sandwich and threw it on the bed asking how she liked her newly shaved head.
“Where am I?” she wondered, and her heart began to race as she licked her parched lips and felt a couple of newly missing teeth.
She heard laughter from the other room and felt an impending sense of doom.
But, because she was unable to find her clothes, she was confined to the small room.
Just then, a biker walked into the room with a sandwich and threw it on the bed asking how she liked her newly shaved head.
(so i found this on the street written on a bunched up bar napkin while i was picking up (the more relatively clean) bits of litter. on the top of the napkin written in all caps was the words "JOURNAL ENTRY 72").
"Target is 5'6, lives alone aside from two small children, never leaves the house or has visitors past five o'clock and never locks the basement door.
I'll enter at three o'clock and conceal myself for one hour and twenty minute when the kids get home, and then another half hour when she gets home then i will complete my end of the deal.
And if the old man doesn't pay i'll reunite him with his family."

She never stirred in the middle of the night, laying still as death. I know not what had transpired for I feel drugged. She awakens and lets loose a wailing scream full of anguish. I spot my bloody hands still dripping with a pitter-patter and the gaping wound in her stomach where I harvested her organs.

Paul McCartney nailed it, in "She's Leaving Home" when he dripped sadness about giving most of his life and money, yet baby's gone off on her own, as all children do, eventually. What do you do with yourself then? After a summer of losing two elderly family Matriarchs, I see that I have 17 days left until another loss comes around, and my baby goes off on her own to college. It'll just be me and my husband, in a house that will soon be far too large for two people, with a yard and pool that already aren't used anymore. I'll be utterly alone with him, and that's the most terrifying thing I can imagine, right now.

The Saw blade roared over the lady in an "X" pattern tied to the table!
The Blade was made out of an acid proof compound and dripped acid as it began to cut through her skull and she screamed!
As this occurred she was being kept conscious with adrenaline shots and blood transfusions.
Also a huge mirror hung above her so she could glimpse each pass the dripping acid blade made across her body.
This was to continue forever and ever for this wasn't a dream but her ultimate and eternal suffering!

THE GRIM CREEPER'S RETURN
My throat so swollen, I could not swallow
My bowels so frozen from oxycodone, I could not shit
Radds of radiation, ricocheting of my fillings
Microwaving my mouth,till my teeth roasted out
