Neverland

i found Marcelles Wallace's soul on I-10
far off in the desert Southwest
between drags of peyote
and hitched thumbs

even with transcendence
he ceased to look like a bitch,
but i still seem to be up for debate

vortexual Time sandblasts
the proud ink from my skin,
echos through holes in the soles
of my wayward tread,
and whips the ashes of decaying words
across my face
caking it with amnesiac dread

i can feel the glow
from my jean's ass pocket
from a ragged cryptograph-
:>O<:
with directions;
second star to the right
and straight on 'til morning

arms spread wide
like a flailing compass
i'll float on
in the happy thoughts
caught in the dreamcatchers
spreading through my bloodshot eyes--
we have ignition

philostraphobia

I'd set about
to writing out an ode to the honey moon
how she'd stood majestic
'tween Libra and Lupus
and how her light set a small prism
to dance on the wall
when it washed through the whiskey bottle

but it's been days now
and I still haven't thought of a title
or anything thing at all
befitting the queen of the sky

because through the window
came a note from the afterglow
a half scorched parchment
awash with brevity, and sinister epiphanies
about a world that once thrived
on simple exchanges
that hypnotized and tantalized
all its souls
blessed with the gift
of a word fetish

 "I am", it said
"a relic of forgotten times
long since dead and buried
or plucked from young minds
by the curse of television

I am the stench of a thousand chasms
choc full of dying isms
and braced by stone cold fiction
fused with probabilities"

....eye try'd to writhe a honee moonbeam
    chaste it true a meadow
ran & rolled aft thee amber glow
          Ran Rolled[&]Dumbled....

(&eye cried the whole night long)

ROAR... RainC (rain1courtel)
Gotta Let It Go... (mikimoondancer)

The Ultimate Woman

As a young naive little girl
My mother would always say,
"Soar like a butterfly"
and
"Follow your dreams"
I drilled that in my noggin during my teens
The Bronx butterfly I shall be
but somewhere along lives paths
I got lost along the way
Wanting my mother to be proud of me
to love me
to follow her prophecy
but like my mother always taught me
to never beg at my knees
My life drifted on different tracks
I always felt trapped
like a lion in a cage, ready to ROAR!!!
I finally came to a time in my life
that one trail was clear for landing
I knew since than that my mistakes
was in the past
I gotta let it go
and become the true Ultimate woman
my mama knew I could be
Just being me.......
