The Never ending story
The House of Everlasting Memories
The house beside the lake
Stands beautifully in its prime
It is a wonder to the eyes
And has made a multitude of good times
I grew up in it for fourteen years
And written many stories in its yard
I made love to a girl in its bedrooms
Because it represents my heart
It's the only place in the world
That I will always remember
It's where I first slept with a girl
And it will last forever

It was a short road in the long days of summer
When we met as though strangers with a very deep past
I remember the way the shadows played upon your face
Hidden in that cavern from the sun's heavy rays
A caress to my soul brought each breath at quickened pace
Buckling my being in absolute entirety
We have passed from each other's lives...again
As we have once before, our love given death
It is meant to be that each path leads us differently
Until peaceful harmony unites us ethreally
In this Never Ending Story very suddenly ended

Lasting Impressions
I don't have to live up to you
though you're never beneath me
each footprint we leave as our words weave dreams
holds eternal the trace of where we've been
together
parts of me fall away like shedding a skin
renewed between the treads we imprint
reborn in the pace of us
as we stride together with our own drummer
counting the memories captured now that time matters
marches in tune with destiny's timing
beating the infinite into now
pulses of us planted
long after the last harvest
we'll be here
somewhere amid the unseen everlasting
we'll drift entwined
bound to the pinnacle of forever

One day in a life of beatings pleadings never ending
Shattered circumstances depending
On, how you act what you do
Forever defending
A week in a life of bruising confusing always expected
Wounds open infected
Easy to hide or disguise
Always dejected
A month in the life of great apprehension fearing detention
Unfocused attention
Masked by false loving
Another dimension
A year in a life of submission remission second chances
Hardened advances
A force-fed captivity
Destructive romances
