Nice thread
Ressurection of Ares:
You thought I was gone
Well your dead wrong
Here I am. I have always been around
Watching Dead bodies hit the ground
I awaken from my slumber
Ready to feed the hatred
Just like a uncontrolled virus watching it spread
Bringing men to bear arms
Men of god to Saintness to Atheist
All no longer passfest
Ready to fight and to kill
Breaking their oppenents will
Having them stare into death eyes
hearing their enemies anguish cries
They will Raise their banners in there name
Marching to the battle field my domain
Giving their foes the definition of pain
I lend who ever I favor
A taste of my power
Lending them strength to prove they are strong
to send their foes to tarturus for thats where the weak belong
Those who I give favor to
Will have Blood thirst pumping through their body
Adrenaling flowing through their hearts
Fear seeping through making its depart
As they get ready to tear each other Apart
Blood will cover the ground
Losers heart no longer pounds
The dead can't scream nor make a sound
as their soul falls under ground
for they found
no salvation
only damnation
For this war was my creation
They fall into Hades embrace
With no saving grave
Blood their only trace
As there body rottens
and are forgotten
they plumeted to rock bottom
All under my blessing will be victorious
and be so glourious
For all Should fear my wrath
For it will become a blood bath
The God of War is once more home
sitting on top of my throne
Ready to have the battle field covered in blood and bone
So take to the shadows
This world will be filled with battles
So take up the mantle
and raise burning candles
for the damn
For I Ares the God of war has returned

But I must make one suggestion. Work on the editing. I'm not being rude but it helps capture the image

Persephone is like me,
Surrounded by a living hell half the time.
Only desiring to truly be free.
I feel like I'm constantly going through motions,
Doing only what is expected.
But this life should be all about my notions,
I want to live my way,
Laugh til it hurts,
Really Taste the breath I inhale,
Experience true love,
No restrictions.
I don't want to feel alive half the time.

Mistress of the Hunt
I am Artemis.
Mistress of the hunt.
Goddess of the moon.
Silver hair that cascades down my shoulders and neck.
Eyes as blue as a pure gas flame.
Skin as pale, as the Harvest moon that I allow to shine.
I am the virgin Goddess.
And I am to stay so.
Men want me.
But foolish mortals or immortals, what ever they be.
They will be hunted like the dogs they are.
And killed by my bow, an arrow through the heart.
Or a quick slash of my spear.
Death be unto those who stare at my naked body.
And my untamed silver hair.
Death be unto those who watch me in the light of my moon.
I will use my powers turn them into a wild boar.
And gear up for the hunt.
Chasing through lands and forest, trees, and fields.
I will find them and make them pay for what they have done.
I am the virgin Goddess and so I choose to stay.
No one shall ever have me.
And their blood I will spill on the forest floor.
And in their cries the rest shall fear.
For I do no mess around.
And play games.
Come near and you shall see.

I couldn't help but post on this one. Thank you Hades for giving me the opportunity to do this. I love Greek Mythology and post about them whenever possible.
-(Nyx- Primordial Goddess of Night)-
Curse these weak beings
Even if they are my play things
The rid the world of my being
Because they are afraid of not seeing
This darkness is beauty
And apparently exterminating it is their duty
They fear the gift of blind sight
Indeed they're not at all bright
A true gift they repent
But they will receive it, I am hell bent
Why did that cursed Titan have to do this
Prometheus gave them light and bliss
From there they evolved
But that can be solved
They think they can keep me away with their "electricity"
Destroying their hopes would be simplicity
I shall rise from my quiet sanctuary
To be the Ultimate Adversary
I shall give these humans with their "lights"
A millenia of Eternal Nights

my selfish children
all these gods
just so many masks
to define my obscurity
with faces you recognize
in yourselves
it is my wisdom
you may know
and in these truths
you may know me
i am that i am
that which can not be named
my obscurity remains
born of Earth
black-widow dark-cave
deep-water fire-belly
father eater son feeder
mother eater daughter teacher
born of Sun
white-wolf sky-tree
milk-blood sun-tear
flesh burner seed flinger
bone bleacher green singer
i am that i am
that which can not be named
proclaims,
to eat the word, wind, and water
to feed the mind-body, the flesh with fire
to feel rock and rain with hands
to suck deep on roots with hands and feet - to eat
to give the caress of the feather
to the coarse, to the new born the cunning of
jaguar and the shield of terrapin
listen
the dawn star, Venus
listen
the plumed serpent, Quetzalcoatl
listen
the Divine Mystery, Wakan Tanka
flies the wind through your branches
to rustle these words
like leaves, hair, feathers
to swirl these words
like nautilus, hurricane,
whorls in the wood
to fling these words like
arrows, hail, lightning
to clear your mind like burning fog
to open your eyes- ears- skin- mouth
like seeds, caverns, eggs
to the white-foam
bubble-rumbling
salty-waves crash
to the damp vaporous
musky sigh
of the ground breathing
before a storm
may these marks
like eagle talons
crack your skull
and bleed rivers of vision
into the ripe black holes
of your grassy-lashed
gem-spangled eyes
so proclaims the wisdom of
i am that i am
that which can not be named
all these gods
just so many masks

ALRIGHT!!!!
My Comparison
Zeus looks like Jesus
And i am Apollo
Dying a slow and painful death
Ignored by everyone but poets
who dwell in themselves
But stay focused
On everyone else
Those who notice me compare themselves
To the dishrags on my counter
And to my very dead olive garden
Barely worth a thing
And they do not know that
They are gods
And i am the mortal being

Through Seven Folds of Heaven
Depth of Seven Folds beneath
Ruler of the skies
Lord of the deepest Realm
Ancient God of spewing fire
that rumbles through the Earth
Arise, from thy ashes
of death,
hear the invocations
of the shamans
the priests and priestesses
who call for thy resurrection
remember thee the glory
of thy people, warriors
in their own right as man
hunters and seafarers
remember thy might
God of all that's living
arise thou, ancient Master
remember thy sacrifice
thy beloved daughter a virgin
thou hath spilled her blood
in thy mighty power
thou furrowed the land
with teeth as maize
her flesh as rice
her limbs as yams
her eyes as leeks
her hair as reeds
her head as palms
Remember thee
the lamentations of thy consort
Suminundu the magical one
hath called upon winds
waves and floods
but thou hath protected us
From the fields
the meadows, the glades
the essence of thine own
Princess Huminodun
transformed soothed the storm
bringing the people together
in peace and harmony
with the great Mother
that birth even thee,
of Soil that nurture
thou hath slumbered within
this dark earthy domain
arise
The shamanic incantations
they echo and resound
throughout the land
art thou no more
hath thou bequeath
thy throne
to gods from beyond...
