freedom isn't free
I should know
I am a number
a slave of
the united states
Government
a native American
the government
took my land
and stole my home
they said I would be free
if i signed a paper
but it was a lie
they found what
they wanted and
the greed took over
they said free and it was
a lie

“The Theory of Hard Work”
http://borderlessnewsandviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/john_lennon_1225647.jpg
(Sucker Punches and Lennon)
Slothfulness is with greediness,
both in bed with corruptness
they all sleep while
we struggle at work together
during our short twelve-hour days,
the nights seem even longer.
Nowadays, everybody wants
something for nothing,
to rob us blind.
Talking trash,
strutting around
like peacocks,
never thinking
about what they say,
what they do,
how they act.
Their only worry
is figuring out
more elaborate methods,
scams to take, take, take,
to never giving back.
Oh sure,
they use that luxury,
because it's Constitutional!
But, do they ever contemplate
how they got such freedom,
the right to talk smack like that,
bend the rules, make those stupid laws?
Do they ever truly realize
they overtly and covertly
attack those of us
who actually work, earn wages,
pay into a corrupt system
with astronomical taxes
used for bailouts,
trips to Vegas,
fraudulent-welfare schemes?
Jesus,
we've been drawn and quartered,
they've already got our hides
hanging out to dry and
we're still working ourselves
to the little bit of bone we have left.
Christ, how much more do they want?
I say fuck social responsibility,
this playtime is about over,
it’s run its gamut.
Dammit, we’ve created
generations of folks
without any ethics,
lusty-rich suits stealing,
private and public entities
sponging off our backbones,
killing the dreams of
our resourceful ancestors,
the ones who
started out with nothing
and managed to
build a little something,
saved some personal wealth.
Actually,
it’s a miniscule,
dwindling broken nest egg,
not more than enough for giggles,
there's no more wiggle room sheeple.
It's all bullshit,
not funny anymore,
what a pathetic joke,
like we workers were
born into royalty,
not!
But I do have hunch-
when the going gets rough,
it gets down to crunch-time,
the only people
who’ll be fighting
for anything,
spilling their own blood,
will be those of us
who understand
the theory of hard work,
not those
pathetic-slackers,
twisted lying tongue
rich arrogant fools,
given the sun,
the moon,
those fast cars
spilling not
a single-drop of
their own sweat.
Those people are
truly killing us,
such lazy-users
crooked sleazy-politicians,
and the greedy-ceo's
with multi-million salaries, really.
Them are the real enemies,
it will be us versus them
on a three front battlefield.
Wait, listen!
Hear that death-rattle,
it’s blowing in the wind?
“Work or die”
has always been my motto,
and not,
“Give it to me for nothing, I’m entitled.”
'Cause when you get
right down to it,
nothing comes for free,
not even your lunch.
So hear me
you sluggards (means lazy people),
you slick officials (means corrupt politicians),
you corporate thieves (means greedy bastards),
brace yourselves
for harmdom (not stardom),
for some knockdown sucker punches...
they'll be coming pretty soon,
getting closer than you think
your day of reckoning,
the time for y'all to pay for
your crimes
against the
working-class
heroes of society.
Thank you John.

Hungry for sandwich
I didn't choose who brought me into this world
Is it fair to say that no one had that choice?
But who was the first person
To walk atop of this earth and claim
"Freedom is a word I made"
and who was it who took away his voice?
According to the dictionary
Freedom means to be free
Freedom is for both you and I
Oh he who invented freedom
Must have died a very lonely guy
For freedom can be taken at the flick of a switch
In consolation here's a new tax and war that might happen
Freedom is a temperamental son of a bitch
In life it's true that nothing's free, not even a sandwich

Freedom isn't Free
I am American,
I'm proud to say,
I hold the highest honor,
It's with me every day.
I fight for what I love,
I promise not to fail,
This job of mine is hard,
But it's a job I have to do.
I know that I'm not safe,
There's soldiers everywhere,
It's really hard to say,
I'll make it to the next day.
Lord forgive me,
For the men that I have killed,
I hold this gun beside me,
Waiting for the next thrill.
I might not make it home,
So tell my wife and kids,
I did the best I could,
But freedom isn't free.

Freedom Rings
Freedom isn't free especially in a place where we
become slaves to the ghetto mentality but this is my
reality dear, two twenty two's disturbing the peace
I've been free for thirty something years? I guess so
but my progress has been impeded by my own soul
I am not a number or a slave thanks to the
United States, they talk corruption and greediness
while they watch their big screen eating delicacies
long summer days air conditioned subways
no one robs you blind, they rob you while you're
looking, welcome to luxury, smack in the middle of
complaining and ungratefulness, but anything for a
wage, taxes out the blue all for scheming welfare
dreams and ethics haven't been in play for centuries
new generations with the same frustrations nothing
ever changes blood spilling over religion is easy work
tongues lying but what did you expect from
ignorance, stop blaming high salaries and climb high
yourself instead of sitting back and dying all over again.

Land Of The Free
God bless the land of the free,
Land of the freaks getting fucked by corporate greed.
God bless the land of big oil, where billion dollar companies can't share the spoils.
God bless the land of the cheeseburger, land of clogged arteries where people pay to get murdered.
God bless the land of the gun, where respect is gained and measured by the amount of spilt blood.
God bless the land of deception, powerful speeches from puppet presidents.
God bless the land of the war machine, the cabals military killing in the name of peace.
God bless the land of organised slaughter, land that is being used to destroy itself in the name of the New World Order!
Wake up America, you aren't free!!!
I must confess I wrote this poem some time ago and have entered it in a previous comp.
Just felt like it belonged here.

DO WE HAVE FREEDOM and IS FREEDOM FREE?
We do not get to choose who our parents are
We do not get to choose our gender or our imperfections
We do not get to choose the country or the religion
So, the question begins with
Do we really have freedom?
To some extent, we are given choices
We have the power to choose good actions over bad
But when it comes to other decisions
There is no way of knowing the long term outcome
Of a decision you made to marry
The decision you made on what to study
The decision you made when you accepted a job
So maybe you had freedom for a spell
Sometimes those freedoms do not bode well
As for a country there are democracies
Who make it look like their citizens are free
As long as they do not do some stupid thing
Like smoking a botanical meant for the sick
That being said, we are still better off
Than people in countries where they kill their citizens
Using poison gases and mass killings
Dictators have always been effective killing machines
The Chinese had a saying
In order to have peace, prepare for war
This may be cynical, but there is truth in it
World War II is the best example
Of going to war to defeat certain evils
Freedom is never free
If you go count the soldiers
Who died for their countries
Who died for their freedoms
Let us not forget them in any way
Veterans need more services
They paid their dues
Freedom is not free
Young men and women are the ones who lose
Life, arms, legs, sanity
Let us support our soldiers
Wherever they may be!

Price for Freedom
Fighting soldiers since time immemorial
They fought and died so that others my live
Is that a fair price for all their sacrifices?
Oh brave new WORLD,
when will you ever learn?
How about the innocent lives lost
when we came trampling upon
the sacred shores of a sovereign nation,
so that we may impose upon them
their so called FREEDOM?
Oh brave new WORLD,
what a waste!
Is a million barrels of oil per day
enough to compensate for a life taken,
or that is not enough
that's why we can't stop?
Oh brave new WORLD,
why are you so greedy?
What do we know about FREEDOM?
While it's true that we are free
to do and say what we want,
yet we are bound
by laws and regulations,
and full of uncertainties
what tomorrow brings.
We could not even hunt for food,
nor catch fish for free...
and you call that FREEDOM?
With FREEDOM comes
certain rights and responsibilities.
What do we need to give up
to enjoy the fruits of FREEDOM?
The list could go on and on,
yet at the end of the day
do we really know exactly
the actual price for FREEDOM?
Maybe not, until we lost it
but who cares...just give me
my fucking freedom--I want it back!
