Dear Dad,
Hey dad how are you doing? It’s been a long time pop from the time I got to see you. Hope things’ are going well for you. Dad I know you were not around a lot when I was a kid and we never did get to spend really any time together. Dad I know things’ where hard when I was young and being one of five and your oldest son I get it dad. But pop I miss you and I wish you would have been there when I get married. You know I have been married for 15 years now pop.
Dad it kind of funny when you think about my oldest son is one of five as well, without trying somehow I have followed in your footsteps pop. Pop when are you going to come by and meet my wife my kids your grandkids? We could all take a fishing trip pop. I know how much you like to fish and I love to fish as well dad and so do my kids. May be you could teach them a thing or two pop.
Pop is it something I did as a kid that you don’t come around or went away pop? Tell me what it was pop, please. I loved to have you in the life of your grandkids. I hold no hard will that you where never around when I was young. Pop I am over the fact that I had to grow up in foster homes’. None of that matter to me pop it really doesn’t.
I remember the times you let me help work on your cars and took me to work with you and on the way home in the summers you stop by the river with me so we could do some fishing together dad. Look pop I am over the times that you would beat me where I could not walk and that time you hit me in the arm and you would let me go to school because you though you broken my arm. Pop I forgive you for that time you held my hand over the flames on the stove and burn me so bad that I had third degree burns on the bottom of it. Look pop I know you did not mean to stab my with that knife and the beaten I got for getting blood on the carpet after you cut me. Pop I am over it!
I forgive you Pop,
Love your oldest Son

TO MY LAWYER
(of blessed memory)
I. G., you were the best lawyer I ever had
You were full of common sense
Gave me excellent advice
You also were so nice
I was shocked when you died
So young of pancreatic cancer
Leaving your loving wife
Your three intelligent daughters
To mourn your passing
Will elegance and tears
Though people think lawyers
Are somewhere lower than rats
You were the epitome
Of righteousness at that
You did not steal
Or turn the truth around
You attempted to heal
Your clients with your knowledge
Educated them
On their civil rights
Was an advocate for those
Who Canada wanted to deport
To countries where
They would have been killed outright
It has been two years now
Your wife still grieves
Your daughters mention you
While talking through their tears
I have another lawyer
As usual, on retainer
Just in case I need to be spared
The wrath of evil beings
Idiots among us
You were better than them all
You were better than me
For I have no time for fools
While you were saving them
One by one
Honestly
Sometimes even
Without charging a fee.

Scottie;
Your ashes were spread in the flowerbed.
On the fourth of July,
with mom and dad and grandma,
Dakota and I,
Wendall and Glenn at the head
... As usual.
Since you've passed, a lot of things have come to light.
You were like a grandmother to me,
To Dakota and I, you gave us a place to sleep at night.
The white hair and the wrinkles,
your age at the butt of every joke.
Like the butt of the cigarette always held to your lips.
But that was all banter.
But you knew that, didn't you?
You knew we loved you,
and we knew we loved you too.
We still do.
Every time I smell smoke, I think of you.
I get a lump in my throat
and tears in my eyes, too.
Scottie,
the one who helped me through my first period.
the one who shook her finger and said "You better be doing your school work!"
Scottie,
the one who took us out for ice cream
and gave us a place to lay.
Your hair and your skin,
the scent of smoke and soap.
Those are the things I thought of,
that day in July.
The warm day Grandma put you in the blackberries,
just like you had always joked.
Scottie,
you are always in our hearts.
Every day.
Just like you gave to us,
we give you a place to stay.
Always and Forever.
[Rest in Peace, Dale Joy Scott.]

To: My Cousin Alicia
Weren't we suppose to die at the same time?
I'm hurt, and pained,
and I can't do anything about it,
I still cry for you,
Some times, I think I'm going insane.
I wanted to talk to you,
I text your number when I got home.
My heart sank, and my throat dried up,
when news reached me on what you had done.
You used a rope to hanged yourself,
from your bedroom post.
Why Alicia, why?
You even stated once, that suicide was the worst.
We use to go out a lot,
you were my family and best friend,
You were,
or still are, in my heart,
till the end.
Remember when we'd
go out partying late on weekends.
Remember I was the one,
who hooked you up with your boyfriend.
He misses you,
and he cries alone.
He hasn't dated any one,
since you've been gone.
The thing that haunts me most,
is that, you died
just one hour, before I arrived.
You were texting me,
some forwards,
if I'd reached earlier, you would have survived.
Please, won't you visit my dreams
when you have some spare time.
I still got lots to say,
but I can only say it in the night.
For now,
I know you're spirits lingers,
Just to keep me safe.
Some day,
when my existence is no longer needed,
we'll see each other again.

MOMENT OF FAREWELL
killing me soft n gentle
with A kiss And a cuddle
then walks with smiley face
slowly into the summer haze
no words of goodbye
no salted watery eyes
neither she make an haste
nor i stop her but gaze
the moment of farewell
and this heart started to frail
on her's every step by step
m loosing it shred by shred
silently, softly, gently Alas she faint
leaving me here in the rain
killing me soft n gentle
with A kiss And a cuddle
then walks with smiley face
slowly into the summer haze
no words of goodbye

Was this to someone you loved or looked up to? Did they die or leave? this poem is a bit vague. Can you elaborate on this? It is a great poem, I'm just hard time understanding the root meaning of it.

Magenta on Green
Looking up the sky above
The gathering clouds
Puffed by the wind
My tears roll down
As I whisper
My last Goodbye
My body is torn
Many savage men
With dark needs,
Malicious lusts
stabbed me with knives
and their engorged tools.
Spreading red hues
On green forest floor
I weep as my life
Seeps out of me
Behold scythe-man
Approaches….
Alone in gentle repose
She sleeps tranquil
on liquid magenta carpet
on the green meadow.

One Last Teardrop
When I lost you, I cried for months on in,
never did I think you would leave me alone
but I guess it wasn't your fault someone had
too much to drink and decided to still drive.
Who do I call to let out my trapped anger?
I feel like a stranger to this happy world,
every night pondering if you know how heaven
tastes, did you find peace? Loosing my religion,
on the railroad tracks is where I'm writing this
yelling to this notebook in bold letters, damn!
I'm trying to make a deal with the devil before
drugs start to fix my pain, God protect your child,
tears from midnight till the sun is out, I'm all out.
I no longer have a sanctuary, I'm so paranoid, but
what hurts the most is that I'm not afraid to die
anymore since that car you were in broke in a
million pieces on that obscure but beautiful morning.
Fists to the concrete, vocal cords to the betraying air
as I continue to remember your name and voice.
My best friend killed and I'm here enjoying life,
how guilty should a cardinal feel when a sparrow dies?
Driving in my car, suicide doors and I feel every bump.
With the saddest heart and coldest look, I must say goodbye.
