Fleeting childhood glances
were all you could remember
every time we reminisce
about our love gone - forlorn.
If I could turn back time
I would have said, I love you--
and had given you a red rose
instead of a violet flower.
Back then I was so shy
acting on my natural instincts;
had no idea courting girls
for traces of breast milk
still lingered in my lips.
We parted ways without adieu
not a single word of love spoken
just your Mona Lisa smile
every time you caught
my mischievous looks.
Now that we're back in each other's arms
a lot of what if's and what could have been
slowly awaken from a deep slumber
as we talk about our young love
brought back by Fate, and Love undying...
We both hope we could go back once more,
to the times filled with joys and laughter
as we tightly embrace and caress;
not a shed of tears and no more fear,
for your nightmarish hellscape:
unspoken words of secrecy -
not a single soul had ever heard,
we'll both carry to our graves.
I blamed myself for your unthinkable tragedy,
it might have been averted;
if only I had revealed my loving intentions--
empty spaces should have been a world of vibrant colors,
and river of doubts could have stopped flowing.
You, me and no one
I am just fine and perfect
Up until the fateful day i'm not.
All cheerful, smiling in front of faces
Although the heart versus head fight get me down
Makes me rot
I wish and pray for strength this day
Its wrote in flowing red
Find the perfect one
And only then equilibrium is done
Strength it is, strength this day, for you I wish for you I pray.
I’m content with his good qualities
The bad one makes me wonder
I’m very very happy
But it always been you, it’s you, I ponder.
Things have changed, I think deferent
Not you I’m staring at, not you here with me
In my head I see your face
Oh how I want, need, no long
Right here, you,me and no one
I am just fine and perfect
Up until the fateful day i'm not.

IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN
If my parents had been young and happy
It might have been a happy childhood
If I had been born a beauty
It might have been easier to marry
If I had been allowed to love the forbidden
It might have been the right man
If I had been born a man
It might have been easier in a man's world
If I could have been a doctor
It might have saved so many lives
If I had been stronger in body and mind
It might have been easier to go on
If I let go the past
It might be better to go forward
If is a word I no longer use
We cannot reclaim what was not foretold
As I write poems which may win or lose
I focus on a future with plenty of sun!
One Moment Lost...
I will never get it back,
it came and went,
Flash!
Right before our eyes,
like maybe it was a dream?
Sigh.
But it sticks in my mind,
ever so vividly.
Do you even know what it did to me?
To have the one chance
that I fought for
not so timidly,
and turn it away,
I thought it was meant to be.
The next day in the cell,
that is when I knew,
that the kiss you offered me,
what I did not do,
is the one moment I will never get back.
All I want,
Need,
is one more moment with you.
Some might say I am silly,
probably even you.
If you only saw what I saw,
knew what I knew.
Then
you would know,
there is no one for me,
Except You.
