Pupillary Reflex

Never mind the rest of her
but her eyes
When you meet them you will forget
You will feel as though you are lost

She hardly ever speaks
but her eyes
will make you stop and listen
to the flow of clear air

She may not have much of a body
but her eyes
They are enough for me to caress

EYE to EYE
-----
Sunken sun
Molten moon
Wishful words
Amber acknowledgement
Throned silence
Sliding snake
Crawling closer
Towards temptation
Hindsights hidden
In your eyes

Your eyes, like Paunamu
Capturing me, like the nets
Of fisherman
Teetering
On shore side boulders
With violent waves
Crashing at my feet
Weakening my knees
Threatening my balance

drinks anyone?

the eyes have it
say aye
this window of bliss
aqueous humor
the pupil of study
watching time
between You and I
pains in glass
darkened solid cast
black shining pearl
view of infinite world
the glancing Nancy
I
look to see
sights un-paralleled
such scene
locked
held within there
gaze glazed
as Iris written
adorning skies
this the look
the deepness
drank
well
that is
Your eyes

opening

the soul and heart is deep in your eyes
taken away by beautiful lies.
like a summery day on a lifless night
your eyes spoke of words your mouth couldnt say.
cursed by change, running from the truth,
sparkles i see. ushering in emotions.
but no word you will dance like
a rose in the sea, floating fare away from thee.
you can see the eyes cry even not.
behold the site of power and intelagince.
the soul and heart is deep in your eyes,
trgically beautiful even with lies.

“Most Delicious Eyes Yet”

Once,
your
blood-shot
malachite-eyes
cried tender mercies
to me.
The crystalline-angelic
gaze saw right through me,
melted my very soul as
the
histories of violence
begot us.
An entire universe stood still,
you were an awesome thrill,
killing me with
my own desire,
pent-up fires raged,
you became my sage.
I wore a heart-locket
around my neck
to capture
your sultry look
but
I lost it,
the only picture
I ever had of
your
sinful nature.
I want it back
to remind me
of the bad stain
I left on your heart.

Sadly, you disappeared
into the gutter paradise
that swirled around us.
I’m starving
without your look,
my hungry mind
is driven to the brink,
these dirty fingertips
feel electric
in my own mouth,
a rare treat
without any solution.
Yet, I still manage to
beat the heat by
cranking
myself clean.
I’m breathless,
a blind ghost
alone,
still
thinking of you
with the most
delicious
eyes yet.

Ursa Minors

Your eyes are only
that shade
of brown because
of a moment in
Attica, awhile back.

Young girls were
snarling under
bear masks

and there was one,
beloved of Artemis
before birth,
with eyes
mottled and dark by her design
to evoke the coat
of a bear
caught in the rain.

She, in her prepubescent
pantomime,

spotted a boy
surreptitiously observing
their sacred ritual,

and saw it fit to pounce
and bite out his tongue.

Ostensibly to silence him -

mainly for fun.

This delighted the Lady
of  Clamours.
Not so much
the boy,
and in the cover of
night, he lured her into
the cedar trees beyond her
window with the
flitting light of a
lantern then there
pinned her to the
ground and
saw it fit
to relieve her
the burden
of sight.

Artemis Philomeirax,
interdicted to intervene,
instead collected the eyes,
and removing those of
Arcas and Callisto
put them in the sky
for safekeeping
until such a time
as they might
be needed again.

A couple decades ago,
two stars in the dippers
grew noticeably dimmer,
just as a boy
shot at a bear in
a sodden forest and intermingled
with the report of the rifle
he swore he could hear
a shrill laughter
from deep within the woods.

So, let's keep a little
perspective here.

Ever Changing Shades

Haunting inside depths of sorrow
colour shades ever changing
upon her emotional sway

lashes that cast pain
across her pale complexion
and tear drops that hang
like morning dew on a vine

A smile that never reaches
the corridors to her tormented soul
pain etched invisible
on crystalline reflectors

yet still bewitching to the onlooker
as they fall in enchantment
to the little that they see
on "come to bed" whispers
delusion befalls them

subjective belief blinds the truth
that hides beyond the false smile
and liquid pools that sting once again
at the perception of the oblivious onlooker

And there
inside depths of sorrow
is a haunting in ever changing shades

Medusa Look

Don't be fooled by her sweet smiles
You might end up among the piles
Of forgotten suitors who defied warnings
Broken hearts - the prize for their yearnings

Don't be fooled by her innocent looks
You will suffer just like some old folks
Who were captivated with her tantalizing eyes
They were hypnotized and frozen like ice

She has long and wavy hair unlike Medusa
Born and raise in the big Apple of USA
Beware of looking at her very distinctive eyes
For she may hold you captive of your own vice

If a face could launch a thousand ships
Her eyes could cost you more than ten million chips
For when she catches you gazing at her
Your heart will be her slave forever...

Daring Me To Stare

what is this reflection
how far does this soul reach
why can I not find myself
can I be underneath
where do these lids stop
do these eyes have my spirit
are her lips calling my breath
I can't lead into her glass with protection
endless are her eyes and endless are the questions

Light shades of blue inviting me in
An ocean, that’s too deep to swim
I lose myself in her mysterious gaze
Immersing myself behind her thick lashes
I’m gone and there’s no way of getting out
Her eyes have captured mine like a prized hunter
She has let me in to the window of her soul
I can only see her sheer beauty and grace
It creates an emotion I have learned to embrace
Nothing in the world matters when she shoots me a glance
A sense of ecstasy and warmth for my cold soul
And when I’ve stayed too long, she locks me out behind her lids
But the memory of her eyes keeps me coming back for more
Like a drug addict in need of a good long fix
Only she knows what will do the trick
Who would have thought something like eyes,
Could torture and save me from day until night?
I guess there’s just something about her eyes
With her light shades of blue inviting me in
