Love For Music

It is spell binding like torn pages from a sacred book
that I should never have opened
now bleeding upon the marvel floors I step on
the crystal walls beside me
a thousand feet tall crumble into the abyss
the earth moves inside my head
the sound scapes dancing
in the air mocking me with true elegance and beauty
the cold dust rises into my nostrils
the decaying art is expanding
everything seems to not matter anymore
my trivial problems and worries are gone
your are other worldly not from this earth
words cant describe the magnificence of your
being you are my passion
Mystical
Understanding
Seductive
Indulging
Captivating
you are the noise to my living soul
my brain explodes into the vast universe
in lightning speed
passing by the screaming stars
into the sun
melting into me from a past life
that I believed I experienced once
it is lifting.

The jester who fell in love

I was just a wandering passerby
into your illuminating path way
your personality intrigued me
like a golden statue blocking
my entrance into my own
unwinding and parallel wasteland

I'm cloaked with loneliness
that covers my whole body
from the raging sands of interactions
my eyes peer out from my cloak
you seem to laugh when i speak

didn't know I was a successful
jester you watch me dance and play
you join in too
who are you stepping into my seclusion
as day and night go by
you seem to be there all the time
your eyes seem to glow
like a majestic sun light
that gives me warmth
in these cold and empty
walls surrounding me

your smile sinks my heart
through the dead leaves
and soil i step on
your beauty is enchanting
I want to hold your hand
and run through the never
ending yellow fields

frolic beyond the
desperate dying hills
I want to be there
when our lives end
when the earth crumbles
i want to lay with you
beneath the ashes
i want to kiss your
lips and touch every tip
of your fingers and stare
in your beautiful eyes
and say I love you

we are in the sky right now
highest point of my lonely life
as you hold onto me
your hands begin to weaken
I fall for you.

When That Time Comes

When that time comes I shall see your face,

A story written so plainly across my being.

The part of my character I never fully understood

. I shall see my future written in your smile

And hear my name in your laugh.

We shall breathe each others' breath;

Feel each others' pains and joys.

We shall love in the way love was written.

When that day comes, our hearts shall beat as one and we

Shall realize that life was only half as fun before.

We shall continue to dream as individuals but with a difference...

We shall have twice the strength to fulfill those dreams.

And some of our dreams will have already come true,

Not because we'd have tried hard,

But because at that moment, when that day comes

We would have met each other.

Chartered Love by Shawnelle Martineaux

They’ve been called many things.
Their coloured pasts and clouded futures merge,
To meet the needs of the hungry ones who come to feast.

Nightly battles with the ever present possibility
That some so called prince charming would see it fit to stop by
And deliver his deepest and most dreadful secrets,
Murdering souls on end with his lust and his need to be
Fed.

See them in their droves.
Like brute beasts borrowing time,
Their tie clips glistening in the moonlight;
Their jackets offering temporary warmth to the daughters of mammon.

Oh if he could smell the perfume that is her soul.
He would understand that she cries for love.
He would know that Jamaal left her for a chance at life
When she told him.
And that that day Garry showed up and consoled her
In the deepest way possible
And that deep connection faded
When she told him,
Then Derek showed up promising to take them all and start a home,
Until she told him too.

He would understand that she was making fares long before she started on these streets.
Paying the dear price of her soul to feed her soul which she lost to Jamaal’s hands,
Way before the time she had begun to tell.
He would understand and he would cry too.

But instead of understanding and knowing,
He drinks her tears to quench
His thirst.
He drinks her tears
To revive himself from the desert that is his day at the office.
He drinks her tears and eats her away
Every time.

What price can she be paid for her soul?
Mere dollars and cents for an hour of her time?
They both know they rob each other.
He pays to feel a soul’s touch his with scanty change.
She knows she has no soul to give him in exchange.

See them in their droves.
Like brute beasts borrowing time,
Their tie clips glistening in the moonlight;
Their jackets offering temporary warmth to the daughters of mammon as they climb

Climb her and break her branches.
Rip her leaves away like autumn.
Remind her that the cold is near.
Make her forget that she is a cedar

I see them every night.
The corpse revival on every corner in the city
Dead men walking, dead men driving, dead men still dying
Those whose thirsts never quench,
Whose hungers only grow
And whose cries only get louder and sharper.

I think of the unhappy people they are;
The unhappy girl that was trapped in the daughter I had become.
I see how the files have been piled on his heart and have made it heavy.
How her face has been snatched from her as she had nothing to give him for his money.
The scorners’ eyes as they salvage their last ounce respect they possess to keep a straight face.
I see them and cry because I know that every daughter of mammon is lost among the jeans.
I cry because they are still people,
But broken ones.
I cry because the hungry men will never find peace
But shall always steal it from someone else.
I cry for my sisters remembering how I could have been if it wasn’t for the life
That found me.
I still try to find them.
Hunger no more.
Thirst no more.
Cry no more.
Yes, you have been called many things by many people.
But you shall be called loved by one.

“How Real I Was”
http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/images/uploads/poemimages/84771.jpg
I was bright-eyed once,
wished upon the twinkling stars, endlessly.
Was bushy-tailed for a spell as well,
I strutted for genuine love, peacock-style,
so wanted to find a pure heavenly romance.

When I first saw her it,
I was mesmerized,
held spellbound, trance-like,
she brought me subtle urges.
I smelled her fresh skin like it was red roses,
tasted her body like the rarest of champagne,
we exchanged blood on the equinox,
I remember the air was deliciously humid.
The sun was going down
for a glorious moonrise,
we danced the magic circle,
Cupid smiled for good reason.
I drifted into her deep inviting eyes
became lost in her ethereal world,
one of charm and mystery,
her thighs were so warm,
my soul swarmed in
her musk long into dusk,
kisses melted me.
Oh, the divine memory!

Seems like ancient history, all hollow-
the seemingly nice things she did
were selfish manipulations, sinister.
The seemingly sweet things she said
while we lay intertwined,
were just dead words, lies.
Her jagged sharp sword went
straight through my gentle heart,
whittled me away
to nothingness,
exposed my
ragged raw bones.
I cried an ocean of dreams,
bled out all of my love in crimson,
a pool of it from warm to bitter cold.
I still scream for deliverance
from this relentless pain,
a respite to hang my head,
a pill to cure this sorrow.

But, she answers me not.
I guess she forgot
how real I was,
now alone.

I sit in a dark room filled with my deepest regrets,
My heart beats distressed notes of a saddened quartet.
My fist are clenched my clothes drenched in sweat.

My heart beats a dark blistering blue.
beaten,butchered,bludgeoned  because of you;
Because i believed everything,as if it were true.

You destroyed me and brought me down to my knees;
How could you have cheated on me?
I truly hope now you are as happy as you can be.

Born on a day, this was full of colors,
Time was so, that favored looser,
Day was gone, night was on,
Then came voice, that I am upon,
Surface of earth, underneath the sky,
Someone looked to whom, was difficult to say bye.

Moment was so, that cherished loved ones,
Mesmerized they, tried some fun,
Happy was occasion, perfect for merriment,
Night had witnessed few experiments,
Enjoying, dancing, environment was august,
Left out, all alone solitude for someone filled with disgust.

Out of blues erupt was seen, to make presence feel,
Everyone amazed, unforeseen for them, found it difficult to deal,
Tried hard, done so many things, not straight that it seemed,
Puzzled, perplexed, nothing was working; riddle was coming to act as beam,
Even all niters fell tired, finally could they solve,
Simple was solution, came to their mind, as someone just wanted to get involve.

Spirited, rejuvenated atmosphere became high,
Relaxed, calmed, finally they could sigh,
Dawn was knocking, rays were about to fall,
Moment was blessed, cheered all, and made them realize that they had a ball,
Sleepy and happy, wondered what to do,
Eventually happened with sun that looms..!

Most used
Most abused

Most overrated...
Love...love...love
That's the word on many lips
I wonder why its now sang like a song
While practically the reverse's what you see
Love's a silly excuse for stupidity
Foolish men and women fall at the mention of it
Only to cry later in agony's pit
The heart of man is desperately evil
Now where can love reside?
Movies help to widen the illusion
Many hearts taken for a ride
I've seen lust disguised as love
A subtle scheme to get between the legs
And when the goal's scored
Admiration, desires, love all die a natural death
That's why you hear so many cases of heartbreaks
Murder,suicide and all
Many has been ruined forever
I've seen so many fall
There's nothing like love....
Except the one God has for mankind
Why I'm I so skeptical?
They say love's blind
They say love's not selfish
They say love bears no grudge
They say love's patient
But these are features lacking in majority
How comes many still sing love like an anthem
Toiling with vulnerable minds
Only time will reveal them
Well,I'm not a fan of love
I only do what's necessary
Mutual understanding a better bargain
Love is a myth
Fools fall over and over again

Wings branched aside
Deviously awaiting air space
Unraveling myths beyond generality
She spoke beyond Satire illusions
Were Beauty reverberates inside
Magnetically modified Beer Cans
Focusing seductively pouncing
On her synchronized nostalgia
Bitterness
Delicately
Belittled
Salvation
Within my silence
Dialectical madness orchestrates
My beginnings
(The steeped doorway creeks wide open)
Mystically transfigured delicacy
An acquired taste for your own sheltered tranquility
Holding tightly to the aroma
Which melted back my envious love?
(Beauty thawed my marinated heart)

Sentimental Admiration

She’s the most gorgeous person I’ve ever seen
Her unmatched complexion radiates like a new dawn’s scene

Each awing attribute in her divine being glows beautifully
Losing all my confusion in her magnificent personality

Your brilliant presence puts my tension into an eternal rest
In great admiration of you as the day blends into the past
No matter what flaw you may have, in my eyes you’re nonetheless best
My days have never seemed so vividly filled with life and vast

I can always look forward to seeing you at every shimmering sunrise
Your lovely smile shines and burns through my deepest sadness to happiness
I see an impeccable intelligent goddess as I’m lost in your iridescent eyes
With white lustrous wings of pride and respect soaring the skies

I wonder how I’ll feel after I finish weaving my thoughts into this poem
And how things will turn out after you have read the words from my heart
At dusk, I’ll think of you once more no matter the outcome
As the moon glows at the signal of an unavoidable end or new start
