- 2 poems per poet, however long or old.
- Collabs allowed, but counts as poem per poet.
- Use your imagination, only allowed to use 2 colors from the Rainbow, cannot use all of them.
- You have two weeks.

Go.

The only part of it that is about rainbows is describing your emotions with a color or two. Otherwise, it's not about rainbows really at all.

This may not exactly fit, if not let me know and I will delete it.

'Twas under the rainbow, we first met.

I was young.
You were older.
By
One
Day.

It started out cloudy.
The weather.
Your mood.
And our relationship.

I was laughing.
You were crying.

He'd left you.

And it was starting to rain.

I offered my umbrella.

You were angry that I had laughed.
And walked on, as the rain started to fall.

Gently at first.
As was my apology.
I held it over your head.

You glared and said, "Why?"

That I'd laughed?
Or that he'd left?

The answer was nearly the same.

You view the world, thorough pink tinted glasses.
To you the world was a fiesta of love shaded in pink.

He couldn't stand your pink view of the world.
Your pink definition of love.

As the rain tamed, the sun emerged, a rainbow framed the sky.
And your tears dried.

I saw the gentleness, the softness.
behind the pinkness, that drove him away.
And my laughter was at his loss.

At you, I would never laugh.
With you, I hoped to share many laughs.
And hugs.
And kisses,
And silent glances.
And intimate moments.
And life.

It was your view of the world,
though pink tinted glasses
that drew me to you.

You came to call me your "younger" man.

And I called you my "ol' lady" in turn.

So, dearest,
That's how it began,
under a rainbow filled sky.

Red roses die,
Crimson tears I cry,
Rainbows drag across the sky,
All black and white except for one,
Cloaked in blood,
Let me be,
So colorblind,
As not to see the dying,
Around me,
Inside me,
Curse all living things,
Curse the color red,
For it's bringing of dark things.

That bloodstained message over your bed,
Run like a headless chicken my friend,
Can't you see that color red,
It is the burning sun in the sky,
And the bloody hand print,
That will never wash off,
There's no running from a color,
It's all around us,
It can't leave,
Color blinds so lucky,
So unstained,
From the color that won't get out of my head:
Red.

Your still smiling somewhere
While Calling me a prick somewhere
Under a rainbow somewhere
Somewhere the sun will always shine

I think i'll find you someday
I'll have to leave everything behind someday
And join you, under a rainbow somewhere
Somewhere were we'll fit in fine

I can imagine what you'll say
I've missed you, you'll say
As I join you, under a rainbow somewhere
Somewhere we'll share one more glass of wine

As you brush your hair
And I'll decide the world is fair
As I watch you, under a rainbow somewhere
Somewhere maybe a little bit Devine

The Red

Red is the sexiest color
Only next to black
But black is not a color

Red is primal
Animistic, cannibalistic
There something about the color red
When all is said
Is just a color after all

Red is dead
The best the worst
The texture
The feel
The look of blood
But red is just a color after all?

If red is death
Then green is life
But life is dark
Red is sex
Red is lust
Red is lost
Red is light
And red is fear
Red is all around us
Red is here.

Dead Poets In The Red Room

This is the room
To end all rooms
dark, red and wet
like somebody's womb
The start of it all
The start of the fall

I’ve seen the dead poet's in the red room
they exists in the back of your mind
Your friends from youth
Removed from space
To this soulless place
There masks adjourn the red tiled walls
Blood like cement, lines the floor and walls
There was blood on their hands
Blood on demand

Devoid of color
The red makes you mad
We don’t belong to our own life time
We are pathetic and sad

Under the table a prophet lay
He would not tell us,
he would not say.
Jesus Christ was buried here
To flow his tears,
takes courage not fear.

This is the end of the road
All exits closed,
All souls are lost at the station of the cross
This path leads to the weak the needy and the lost.

This room is an abyss
made from one man’s creation
A platypus of endless screams
Your soul a generous donation
We tear apart at the seems

Children screaming for mother
a sister finds her brother
broken, soulless she weeps
the dead poets in the red room has taken him
leave your secret's at the door
the red room has taken us all!

Scarlet Winds

In warm colour dreams ribbons of red blow
where flowers come apart in fierce scarlet winds
ruby gossamer protection upon my weathered form
as I lay in the grass of fire that soothes with no burn

I grip the edges of reality and hold onto this tightly
as I watch carefully the miles ahead with wary eyes
always trying to perceive the stirring that is only felt
in knowing of what I can never deny is truth within myself

And the scarlet winds blow in ribbons across the plains into the miles stretched ahead

Feeling the weight of the heavy invisible nothingness
sucking my life when eyes are tired and weakness prevails
forming itself with psychic intentions to drain living energy
in black shadows I can see what attempts to make me fear

And the scarlet winds blow in ribbons across the plains into the miles stretched ahead

In knowing of what I can never deny is truth within myself
the fear that I lack drives me into the realms of shadows
I take back all that was stolen from the essence of my existence
and bind it in red ribbons and reminders of sharp edged realities

In warm colour dreams ribbons of red hold me
where flowers sway in the soothing gentle winds
ruby gossamer protection that envelopes my form
as I lay in the grass of fire that soothes with no burn

Never forget me

Ah the vibrant blue
One true of a hue.
And as if on cue,
I see the soft glow,
Of a pretty rainbow.

Ah I see the blue,
And I see the violet,
Resonating from the water.

Oh that color true,
Yet there are those who try to defile it,
And are staining Father.

One night I meditate,
"I ask you Father sky,
That I may know why.
Why is it that you cry?"
He did not hesitate,
And he answered clearly,
"So that you may hear me,
And never forget me,
For long have I looked after thee."

i love the colour yellow, it shows my grand daughters pearls; as it shines down on us; from another world. she says rainbows are beautiful; a smile splits ear to ear, i would love to slide down them; her innocence brings me to tears.
