Love
No one will ever love you the way that i do
Twelve months since we split after nine years together
I thought we would have been together whatever the weather
I moved away from my home and all that i knew
So i wouldn't miss a single moment with you
Now i'm in another country all on my own
wondering why i just don't go home
And what i come up with while im wondering why
Is the reason i stay is just to hope to see you go by
If i go back to England, it would be admitting defeat
But that i can't do, cos my heart would never again take a single beat
Cos no one will ever love you the way that i do
And the reason im sure and know this to be true
Is when i looked in your eyes and the vows that i said
were imprinted on my heart the day we were wed
And there they will stay until the day that i die
Even after a year there's songs that make me cry
Because i will always love you, until the end of all time
And the hole that is left is knowing that your no longer mine
Its a deep dark void that will never again be filled
Sometimes i think it would be easier if i had been killed
Because without you my life just doesn't seem to matter
This thing in my chest i used to call my heart is in tatters
But no one will ever love you the way that i do
I just wish u knew how much i still and always will love you

He's not good for me I know
Yet I can think of no one else
They want to push us apart
As does he sometimes too
All attempts fail miserably
When we are enveloped in each other
We're on cloud nine and all is divine
My heart aches when we must be apart
Days go by while i feel powered off
I know he must go fight for this country
Still I feel selfish with want
Just one more touch
A second kiss to give
One more glance in the rear view
Another heartfelt goodbye
Obstacles are meant to be overcome
Despite them all I will endure
I'll find courage to fight
For you, for me, for us
Because now you do it every day
He's not good for me I know
Yet I can think of no one else

My world was cold
It was black and white
Until I saw his hazel eye
And my heart beat
Started like a hummingbird
Beating out of my chest
He looked right back and stared at me
So dolefully
" will you date me, my fair lady"
When I asked why
He looked as if he would cry
and asked
'"Didn't you know?"
"your the very best"
And from the moment my heart was chained
To a charmer, A romancer
That I never wished to escape, again
Rose petals on my pillow
Lips upon my cheek
Sweet nothings in my ear
Any other modern guy could not meet
My doe eyed Casanova
Because I swooped him up
Before any other vixen
Could discover his medieval chivalry
His Fiery inferno of passion
I protect him from any hurt
My Romeo, I won't leave alone
And before I know it
I'm below a starry sky
With the perfect guy
And he's on one knee
He needn't even ask
For I have always been sworn
To his loving doe eyes
A one in a million guy
Who could never think to cheat
Would never dare to lie
Because his single sweetest weakness
His singlest greatest fear
Is my heartbroken cry
My world was cold

Love At First Light
As dawn breaks over a frost covered mountain to the east
He is my first thought
just as he is always the last
I have come to crave the scent
of coffee and cigarettes at dawn
and I have grown to appreciate
all of the pieces that comprise
his existence
Be it virtue or vice
I adore him
unconditionally
Having finally aquired the peace within
to provide sound sleep
we are quiet upon waking this
November morning
Serene and present
Keenly aware that spoken words might cloud
the unequivocal purity in the atmosphere
Each of us knowing how vital
these moments are
I join him on the porch
of a humble log cabin
tucked within the forest
of the Smoky Mountains
Draping a blanket around him
I set his coffee down and
sweetly kiss his temple
He closes his eyes briefly
savoring the feel of my mouth
on his skin
I do not linger
I take my seat
and take in the view
The vision of his silhouette
is stunning
Washed in shades of blue grey
at first light, before the sun
Crouched over and writing
glancing up pensively
to see and feel the inspiration
as God unfolds before him,
around him and in everything
he sees
Caught up and in his element
he barely notices I'm there
and I observe in wonder
and awe of who he is
in this very moment
Memories and dreams,
vulnerability and strength
Driven by necessity
Fueled by hope and faith
Suddenly a Carolina Wren
catches my eye, my ear and my
undivided attention
Never was a picture painted
that could match the beauty
surrounding us
I am now in my element
and I study him as he too
is caught up in his morning routine
Driven by instinct
Fueled by purpose
I silently thank God for the blessing to witness
his work
My focus is turned back
to the radiant man
next to me
Who's face has now been
christened by the amber glow of dawn
The moment is breathtaking and
I feel a tangible pull in my soul
toward him and onto him
Latched on like my life depends on it
with no measure of seperation between
our naked bodies
He drags soft, passionate kisses
down my neck
Our adoring eyes lock as
he slides slowly into me
I feel his heart and soul in between
these passionate breaths
and rolling waves
and we finally speak
the only three words that matter
to the spirit
to the soul

I inhale the secrets

my mouth

The comfort

The World In Her Eyes~
This world is lonely, least thats what they say,
But no one told me it doesnt have to be that way.
Nobody said "Hey! Come let me love you."
No one said a thing, thats what made it untrue.
But now I see a light, showing me salvation,
A heart that beats a song, surely my temptation.
And when I hold her, her heart stops the time,
Then she looks at me with the world in her eyes.
And I get so high when she smiles at me,
That I could just cry, but I'd say "I'm Melting."
She's become my drug, now I'm a dope fiend,
I cant get enough, I dont wanna stay clean.
Cause this world's ugly, but she makes it a dream,
And then suddenly everything is serene.
But I cant stop there cause there's no comprimise,
Nothing can compare to the world in her eyes.
Its such a great thing, I cant help but stare,
When she comes around there's a love in the air.
Its one with no name, one I cant explain,
One I cant tame, but I just cant refrain.
She looks at me with eyes wide as the sea,
Gives me a smile and kisses me softly.
She listens to my heart as it beats to the sky,
And im off to that place, the world in her eyes.
She holds me so close like she'll never let go,
My heart races faster but then it gets slow.

I still feel her lips passing poison to mine.
So do you see now all the love that I've found,

Never could something unruly and crude
Break these apart for it is too shrewd
No object like distance money or time
Could break apart a love that is prime
Sharing the joy with all that they know
Lovers go out and put on a show
By others side two lovers shall be
Happy and careless amazingly
Holding each other in arms of peace
Sorrow and sadness anger shall cease
For love conquers anger fear and death
Rejoicing forever with every breath
