"Shady Trees"
Blink eye blink
sting it stings
lemon drops make my eyes pop
all about looks
in vein i like books
not so much to look at
even with a suit and a top hat
a performing monkey
caged since i was freed
blink blink
sting sick
i love the smell of chloroform
mornings make me sick
it makes my head stay still
and my mind go blank
i hate the world
i love the sea
i love the lands
with grass and trees
i love my love
but i hate the world
what is this world coming to
hatred and love
and peace and violence
and god and satan
sharing a drink one night
for old time sake
i feel old
i feel frail
i am tired and ill
so sad, so mad
the life before
the best i've ever had
goooooooo! with love
