How do you describe beauty? What is beautiful to you.
Originally I wanted entries to be short and sweet but I don't care make it as long as you wish. Think outside the box be avant garde or not. It's solely up to you.

Beauty is a woman

Beauty is the way she walks
Like a queen among the flowers
Her hips, wide, sway
Proudly as she holds a child
On it safely
Her long black hair
Falling over her back
She is beauty

Beauty is the way she smiles
As she ladle out the food
Onto her husband’s plates
And wipe her baby’s face
With the wet towels
Or the other child’s nose
With her handkerchiefs
Gently and lovingly

Beauty is the way she touches
Her husband’s face
As she says goodnight
The way she hold him tight
As he gently embraces her
Beauty is indeed a woman
Who is wife, mother
Sister, friend
To her husband and children

Star

Your 100% beautiful
from the in
to the out
try to remember it
if your ever
in doubt .

A person
so lovely
take this verse in
from me .
You epitimise
a lucid star
you hydrate my eyes
so heavenly you are .

My spirit prays
for a time to recall
our yesterdays
and holding hands
at the mall ,
a time we can shine
our beam over
written lines ,
forever
in a together
on lifes wall
in an all
of our times
forever and some more .

To define beauty is to
define your very being.

I do know love and,
love sure knows me.
We are still strangers,
we fail to see.

Is beauty to me
optical joy?
A gazing smile as
she talks when coy?

Beauty to me is
something of heart.
When things transmit,
and punch like darts.
When a violet sky
takes air captive,
and ignites my nerves;
hairs stand, to live.

Poem of Beauty

Lovely Flower
Floating in a crystal stream
Resting
Perfection at its best
The smile of infinity
The touch of the skin
Your hand
Gently resting on mine
Tracing
Your outline
With my finger tips
Catching light so elegantly
Loves the embrace
Diamond in crested eyes dancing wildly
With a perfect hold of my soul
Ever so lightly
Holds the glance
While staring into mine
I experience
The essence of your body
I cant live
Without such a cause
The love that's in my heart
Cant resist
The combination of our soul
The cause of...

She Walks In Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night,
of cloudless climes and starry skies,
and all that's best of dark and bright.
Meet in her aspect and her eyes,
thus mellowed to the tender light,
which heaven to gaudy day denies.

And her voice is a sweet as the Prime Rose that peeps between,
the thorn.
You might hear her voice in every wind,
and snatch a fearful joy.

She drank dandelion wine and sat by the sea,
writing her poetry for all the world to read.

She walks in beauty, like the night,
of cloudless climes and starry skies....

Ah! I see you were inspired by Lord Byron for that one. I too love his works. He wrote some very romantic poetry.

-]} Enchantment’s Bright Star [{-

I wandered today in the gardens behind my home,
Amidst orange tiger lilies, and purple blossoms…
I felt the wind caress my skin, as I did there roam.
And I thought of its’ power, simple yet awesome!
Why do men deny enchantment when it is so fair?
There is so much beauty in this world, to embrace.
Can I describe for you delights beyond compare…
Such as the softness of silk, the touch of fine lace?
I do not see as male or female, as mortal or divine.
My eyes need no label, to define the things beheld,
As I anoint my lips, so that they are as red as wine.
I seek after the sensual, and for pleasures well felt,
For God is in the moment, and I seek illumination!
I find it in places and feelings where few will seek.
There is much enlightenment, in every sensation…
And in my quest for its’ wisdom I cannot be meek.
Oh to kiss an angel, to know her undying passions,
As easily as I have known pains I cannot speak of!
So I lose myself in enchantment’s myriad fashions,
I walk amongst those flowers dreaming about love.

Enchantment’s bright star, shines in deep evening…
Brighter than its’ peers, and more sparkling in hue!
I walk beneath the light that shines down gleaming,
And my heart holds childlike wonders to come true.
I dance in the garden, my heartbeat racing so mad…
For though no one sees me, I can see my own spirit.
Do angels dance with me and if so are they as glad,
As this brief instant, when I live, and do not fear it?
I know what held me back before, and I dare defy…
The oppression of this era and all of its’ idle mores.
There is a great chaos within me that I cannot deny,
And I know such art as neither slumbers nor snores.
Fireflies sparkle all about me, and I see their flight,
Weaving here and there, as these wisps dance well!
They trace arcane patterns, across the black night…
And in them I behold things of which only few tell.
I am not alone in the garden for the angels descend,
Or am I merely lost in light illusions bliss bestows?
I feel like flying on a cloud, my spirit to so ascend!
But I am bound in flesh, as any scholar well knows.

Another life, another time, I was a woman, a man…
I was a boy, a girl, perhaps both or perhaps neither.
Am I all this, and is this then also some divine plan?
I have seen the truth, and broken past every tether!
Embracing androgynous beauty I see my true form,
Dancing in a garden, as I await the coming of dawn.
I feel a cool rain, and I know it will bring the storm,
As the droplets pour down my skin, upon the lawn.
I am one with the elements, one with the universe…
Like the elfin lords of old, whose spells were magic.
I know that I can only convey so much within verse,
And I fear that my words will fail me, so very tragic.
This age has lost so much yet the treasure is there…
Within and without, a kingdom waiting to be found!
I speak so that I may by doing so, the beauty share.
The magic is in my very being, music with no sound,
And yet I think I hear it, and it is not so very distant.
We need not dwell so far apart from every wonder,
For we can find the enchantment in one fast instant!
Like the calm before the storm: and its’ first thunder.

Defining a woman

I like to think of a woman without wings,
Or maybe the beautifully laced harp strings.
They are emotional creatures strictly by design;
I loving heart of compassion that I find divine.

Their eyes are glazed like the moon on the lake;
Everyone is very unique: kinda like a snowflake.
They are strong and mentally sound;
Wether a wife, or on the battleground.

Many years I have had the pleasure of admiring them all;
No matter how short; no matter how tall.

Some have mended their broken hearts from are attacks;
It might be whole, but it still has its cracks.
I love the beauty of GODS work;
To hold and comfort is ones life's perk!

I have friends that feed them a line of shit;
Just to have a chance at their clit.
Why do we abuse something that is one of our pair?
Fucking with their hearts and leaving them in despair

We should be thankful of the beauty that they are;
In the form in which is truly an earthstar.
Respect them for they are mans  connection to love;
For they are all sent from above.

GOD made man in the reflection of his mind;
It is the hunt of our pair that we have to find.
Sometimes it's not that they are in search of us;
Because we have made them believe in our distrust.

If you feel everything that you can't explain;
It has to be her love that runs thru your vain.
We too get them butterflies;
We just don't admit it; because we are guys.

Don't look at them are less than us;
Trying to convince with words that is superfluous.
Beauty is always the woman in hand;
That's why GOD created them for man.

This is just my view of course;
There is so much to feel from them besides intercourse.
They are the glass rose of my heart;
Don't drop them or break them apart.

I will say only one more thing;
They are not just flesh, but they are everything.

.:beauty:.

with
and within beauty

one cannot breathe; cannot
look upon it; justifiably beauty exists alone
settled intimately within its own aero - mist
as whimsy; likened to the calm & curious child
netting only that which is worthwhile

still, the finite glow of it
lives & has life beyond mortal
no earthly distinction nor comparison
nothing to gauge as similar

however the feeling
the truth of beauty is exemplar
the tear it causes; taken without losses

beauty’s war is without score nor scar
this as it adds, no, as it defines all that is substantive
that which can be found within abundance

yet to say that beauty could be known
here amongst the realm of common claims
this would be a fallacy
wherein the hopeful wish remains

Beauty...
The setting sun in the horizon
The singing birds bidding goodbye to the day,
The talking crickets of the beautiful night,
the springing of the songs,lithe
the pains of labour,scarce
the cry of a newborn,joyful
the dance of a new father,elated
the beauty of life.....

Beauty and the Beast

beauty is my cruelty, beauty is my beast
I awaken it from slumber and upon me it feasts
staring wide, hypnotized by nothing
relate to something
now please relate I need my share
that flickering lamp in the dark
attracting the moths from my inner sanctum
like blind ghosts haunting a fearless glow in the void
sleepless nights conjure memories buried under ice
cold and steel
paper cuts from decaying wounds
see the blood. taste the blood
6 more lines share my wrists
come care for me now
I abandon you all
dripping away my hate to unholy bliss
sacrilege. the thoughts of you send chills down my spine
you are faint
like a butterfly dying
so subtle
so meek
undying
open are your arms forever
demon of lust
god of pain
messenger of misery
that flower of white in my soul, that once abode, never bloomed again on my road to hell
but I saw you there waving with a smile
sad were your eyes, sadistic entirely
mad you are now
mad with joy
vengeful conscience has passed
and the cold rings like steel again
beauty in her cruelty
beauty in her sin
like hollow dreams and purity of love
burning in fire
untouched
make me relate
I am deaf to you now
I confess a frailty
I feel for you
like water against glass
a shade of crimson blue at dusk
magical
mystifying
carved out of a portrait
steal your mind
you might need yourself again
for now I am dead
your words I can no longer share
talk to the mirrors
this hall of eternity
yelling for answers
dive into my memories
into yours
see the blackness within
be afraid
be tormented
be purged
for beauty is my mistress, and you are my beast

WHAT IS BEAUTY?

What is beauty?

How would you define her?

Would you seek a fair haired young very thin white girl?

Or if you think this is not beautiful....

Would you try to be like her?

Dye your hair, diet perpetually, die inside, trying to be white?????

This is not only true in North America

White girls are sought in India

Why is pale and skinny desirable?

My mother was a little girl

When the ladies noticed

She was no beauty

Talked about this

Said it would make it hard to get married

Even if with a dowry she were carried

My father said I needed to become a teacher

He was all for education, for he saw

His daughter was only beautiful in his eyes alone

Not being a beauty means being humiliated all the time

A woman's beauty still counts after liberation

The power of beauty is like a honey pot

It is a pot of gold when used wisely

By a young woman who realizes

That a man's passion may decline

When she is old, when plastic surgery has done its best

Love is better than that

It loves past looks

The beauty it seeks is not so superficial

The beauty of the honest good woman's  soul

Is worth more than gold

For the hot young things

Will not stay when the man is old

Especially if he is not rich

Take that you cad, you married a bitch!

The face of angel
The body of a goddess
Intentions of being sincere
Actions meant to be pure
Knowing you may never be perfect
But always doing the best to be true
