- Open Your Heart-

A Song about Passion

Like the butterfly, a soul is delicate as lace…
Like the waterfall, love can fill an empty space.
Dear maiden let me see your beautiful face…
I long to hold you tight, in the warmest embrace.
Your love would be precious as a gilded vase…
So please write me, with words filled with grace.

See the butterfly as it goes,
Feel the waterfall as it flows.
Close your eyes and I’ll be there…
Open your heart, dear maiden fair!

Like the firefly, your spirit burns so bright…
Like the nightingale, passion takes new flight.
Dear maiden come to me; fill me with delight!
I long to kiss your lips amidst the candlelight.
Your love would be glorious before my sight,
So please tell me you love me, tell me tonight.

See the firefly as it flies,
Hear the nightingale in the skies.
Close your eyes and bring me there…
Open your heart, dear maiden fair!

Like the starlight, I illuminate a land gone stark.
Like the cricket, I call out to you in the dark…
Dear maiden follow my light and unto me hark!
I long to touch you before we together embark.
Your love would fill me like cargo fills an ark…
So please be not timid, for love leaves its’ mark.

See the starlight as it glints,
Hear the cricket as it sings.
Close your eyes and I’ll be there…
Open your heart, dear maiden fair!

- Out of Desire -

A Song about Longing

You smile when you see the moon through the clouds!
But where is that smile when you’re hiding in the crowds?
One of the many, you need to stand out so much more…
Or no matter how far you swim, you’ll never reach shore.
You think I can’t see you, but my eyes pierce the veil!
You set your sights far too high, and you hope not to fail.
Like you I have dreams, and they fill my nights entire…
Like you I have a thirst, and it was born out of desire!

You play so coy, but your soul shines with fading glows!
No matter how much you learn, there’s one who knows.
You’ll never discover the fullest depths of cold infinity…
Until you can accept that we all have a grander destiny.
You think you can reach the stars without feeling pain!
You try to wash your hands, but you can’t see the stain.
Like you I have dreams, their heat burns me like fire…
Like you I have a hunger, and it was born out of desire!

You dance in the darkness, like a child caught in play!
But you can’t accept that just one single hour can’t stay.
One with the night, you need to understand it is fleeting…
Or you’ll never know its’ joy, or enjoy all of the meaning.
You think I don’t understand but I’ve been there before!
You can’t live forever; just enjoy all that life has in store.
Like you I have dreams, and they suck me in like mire…
Like you I have a burden, and it was born out of desire!

You imagine no one hears you, when your tears do fall!
No matter how much you try, you feel up against a wall.
You’ll never realize that I might be there, just waiting…
Until you open your weeping eyes and start anticipating.
You think no one cares, but I’ve been there still caring!
You have only to look up, to see how I’ve been faring.
Like you I have dreams, and I have never been a liar…
Like you I have a sorrow, and it was born out of desire!

- Snow Angels and Pale Lace -

Once there was a beautiful child, playing in the winter snow...
She liked to build tall snowmen, and cried when they melted so.
I do not think she had any parents, I always saw her as alone...
She always wore the same old hat, the only one that she did own.
No one ever told her she was beautiful, no one could ever care,
Women just neglected her, and not a man would so much as dare.

One day I thought I might adopt her, take her into my very home,
I knelt to ask the child her name, but she just rocked to and fro...
Making angels on the white ground, she seemed not else to know,
Only her innocent laughter rang, in time when the wind did blow.
Then someone told me I was seeing a ghost; no real girl was there,
And I found myself crying real tears over a ghost with golden hair.

No could explain to me, how in her form those snow angels lay,
Nor by what power they had come to be save by her spirit made.
How fleeting is the span of childhood and how fleeting is the time,
In which we must dwell upon this earth, seeking reason and rhyme!
We must care for one another while still we walk in life's embrace,
For too soon comes the fateful hour when we leave this tired space.

Like angels in the snow, what we love is more than words can say,
And like laughter on the wind, our memory returns when thus bade.
Such a power has compassion, that it makes miracles most sublime,
Bridging worlds to touch hearts, as had happened that day to mine!
When I beheld that lost little girl with her delightful, innocent face,
I never realized it might be a spirit, and one as ethereal as pale lace.

- The Heat and The Hunger -
A Song about Passionate Longing

I can feel the magic in the beauty of your face…
I can see the sorrow amidst your wonderful grace.
In the midsummer heat, there’s a hotter breeze…
It blows lonely hearts together out of scattered leaves.
Look at the sun as it rises: new hope for the land!
Can you look in my eyes; can you touch my hand?
I am as real as the rays coming down from above…
Take a look in my eyes, and just feel the love!

Let your hungry heart be sated by passion,
Let me show you the height of lovers’ fashion!
Remember to call my name in the night…
I’m always waiting in the darkness, to bring you light!

I can hear you calling for someone in the dark…
I can understand you need me, and so now I hark.
When it’s hard to sleep, think of me being there…
Running my fingers softly, through your beautiful hair.
Take a walk me with in the rain: let it pour down!
There’s nothing a little rain can do, in this town…
The heat from your hand in mine can warm us well.
Take a look at my heart; let your passion swell!

Let your hungry eyes be pleased at mine,
Let me show you the glory beyond all of time!
Remember to call my name in the night…
I’m always waiting in the darkness, to bring you light!

I can sense you waiting for old wounds to heal…
I can sooth them all, if you’ll allow yourself to feel.
Is it time to wake up? Hold on just a bit longer…
Don’t let this dream stop! Let me ease your hunger.
Have I seen you in my dreams, are you the one?
Why not meet me there, so that we can have fun!
I am as real as your dreams; let them come true…
Take a look at my face, and my eyes so blue!

Let your hungry soul be contented at last,
Let go of all your pain, and be free from the past!
Remember to call my name in the night…
I’m always waiting in the darkness, to bring you light!

- The Road Home -

A Song about Faith

Why can’t we remember the way that the sun shines?
Why can’t we go back to a simpler time?
It is only too late when we give up what we hold dear,
It is the time for us to draw ourselves near!
The road winds forever, when you are far from home,
The road is the longest when you walk it alone.
Magic is not distant; we have lost it through our lies…
Magic is within us; let it take you where it flies!

Follow the road home,
Follow the way you know.
Don’t listen to the doubters,
For they are the cowards!

Where is the song that the angels were singing,
Where is the sound of the music that was ringing?
Still in the shadows, waiting for the moment to arise,
Still in the distance, there waits the blessed sunrise!
So far from home, how can we find the way back?
So far from peace, below skies growing so black…
The children are praying while we keep walking.
Too many decisions, and way too much talking!

Follow the road home,
Follow the way you know.
Don’t listen to the doubters,
For they are the cowards!

Why can’t we remember the way that it used to be?
Why can’t we go back just to yesterday?
It is only too late when we give up the hope we hold,
It is the time to come back within the fold!
The road winds forever, when you have lost the faith,
The road is the longest when down is your face.
Hope is not distant; we have lost it through our cries…
Hope is within us; let it take you beyond the skies!

Follow the road home,
Follow the way you know.
Don’t listen to the doubters,
For they are the cowards!

Where is the game that the children were playing,
Where is the peace that we just keep on delaying?
Still in the shadows, waiting for us to open our eyes,
Still in the distance, past where the wind still sighs!
So far from home, how can we find the way again?
So far from peace that we can no longer condemn…
The angels are praying while we keep dreaming,
We have but to listen, and stop all our screaming!

Follow the road home,
Follow the way you know.
Don’t listen to the doubters,
For they are the cowards!

- Walking the Road -

I was walking in a garden, when the ancestors of man rebelled…
And I was walking on Golgotha when the Son of God was felled.
I was walking in the wilderness, where prophets sought for purity,
And I will be walking at Megiddo, when the flames blaze horribly.
My feet have tread on the dust of empires that once I saw rise up,
From out of the nothingness, as from an emerald chalice I did sup.
One day the road will come to one last end, and I shall be reborn,
My star will ascend to Heaven, at the side of the ever-rising morn.
If you seek my name, you will find too many for one to ever do…
So instead seek my works for they endure both faithfully and true.
I was walking down the street today, and saw the sins man hides,
And I wondered if God noticed, from where His majesty abides!

I was walking in the woods, when Lucifer came down for a chat,
And I was walking in the shadows, for a very long time after that.
I was walking in the darkness when Lilith came to share her love,
And I will be walking in Hell, when the angels tire of me above…
My feet have tread across the stars, before to Earth I was hurled.
They even walked the decks of pirate ships, black flags unfurled!
One day the road must lead me unto the arms of my soul’s mate,
My feet will then set forth no more, for I will need no longer wait.
If you seek my company, you will find me to be a gentleman fair,
I have been selfless, unto others, and for those in need I do care.
You would not know that once upon a time, I was so very cruel;
And God set me to walking because in Heaven I played the fool.

I was walking in the holy places, in churches, temples, and more,
And I found in them no solace, only emptiness behind each door.
I was walking in the sanctuaries of secrets, where brothers meet,
And I will not say what I learned or whom I went hither to greet.
My feet are weary from walking, but I still have much I can give,
I just hope I find love soon, before I lose the will to this way live.
One day the road will continue, and I shall have bid it a farewell,
My destiny will have been fulfilled, and rung will be the final bell.
If you seek to walk with me, then maiden I will be ever content,
So there need not be any end to the road, if upon it we are sent.
History has not run its’ course, and we can teach humanity a lot,
Tell me if you feel the same and have given the road any thought.

- Wrapped in Daydreams -

In the fair light of daybreak, when all is so still,
I walk in the meadows, when the air is yet chill...
Wrapped up in daydreams, and visions so fair,
That I dance about in circles, where few dare!
Spinning, spinning, like the silk of spider webs...
Glistening with dew, like the sweat in my hair.
Music in the movement, that ever softly ebbs...
As the stars of night vanish with dawn's glare.

Somewhere in the symphony, I've lost myself,
A speck beneath the trees that tower all about...
Whilst my spirit is taken like a book off a shelf,
To a realm of enchantment, where fades doubt.
Too cruel, the waking from dreams golden pure,
Shining so like silver seas and a pleasant shore!
What craft have I to cross the waters so deep...
That they may as well be mountains most steep?

Too long in slumber, and how can you awaken,
When calls the day, finding you lost in the dance?
Your feet wet with dew, your mind beyond ken,
Of mortals who went not where you did prance…
You must welcome the hour with a smiling face,
And begin the day with the utmost polite grace.
But in your heart, the dreams will remain strong…
From some you'll never awake, even with a gong!

- Triumph -

How shining bright, the glory that the sun does endow!
Yet how fleeting the hours, since I last spoke with thee.
The best of times, they say, are yet to be given form...
But the future is a field, and each of us has our plow,
So how, can any man or woman know what shall be?
Sightless we go forth, seeking for the light of the morn.
And in the twilight times, betwixt light and pure dark,
We await what comes with a spirit ever willing to hark.

What is the meaning of triumph enduring?
The measure of success differs with each soul.
Like a vessel freed of all weighty mooring,
We may journey beyond the point of control.

Weary the waiting, I have sought to change fate itself,
Thinking the future to be some bleak and terrible thing.
The hope of heroes and the dreams of innocent youth,
Where have they gone, in this jaded period of history?
Consider thou the myriad of books on a library's shelf...
Yet even with all that knowledge, no joy will such bring!
There is no triumph without wisdom, and that is a truth,
And few are those who consider this a fact of destiny.

What is the meaning of triumph everlasting?
The measure of victory differs with each cause.
Like a storm grown beyond any forecasting,
We may grow beyond ourselves without pause.

Loving wisdom allows not the inner spark to be aflame,
Without the element that is hottest, known as desire.
Even the highest paradise will be beyond your reaching!
There is nothing beyond the reach of mortals to obtain,
Once you have tasted the glory of the most sacred fire.
Then, even in darkness, the light will be fairly breaching!
Contrary to the bonds that hold back the weaker wills,
You will triumph against the darkness, and all lesser ills.

What is the meaning of triumph eternal?
The measure of peace that a person can achieve.
Like a mystic looking deep at the spirit, internal,
We may discover far more than we could believe.

Dear whatevers out there
I wish you well
I hope you can hear me

Dear whatevers out there
I don't know what you are
Or whether you exist; but I hope you've the strength to help me

With all my fictional demons in tact
And dirty scratch marks down my back
I ask of you nothing
But for nothing more.... to happen(or turn UPSIDE Dowwwn)

CHORUS
Dear God
Dear Satan
Dear Boy layed down on the parkbench
I hope you never end up like this
A shadow of a feather..

Dear Friend
Dear Hater
Dear one I betrayed
I love you so
And whatevers out there,.... you don't want to know...

Daer whomever reads this
Dear whom don't have eyes
Dear whom don't care for proper grammer
The blames on your side....

Dear minister
I'm finished with
This empty cliche'ic dream I call life
I'm far from it
Too far from anything thats worth your while

CHORUS
Dear God
Dear Satan
Dear Boy layed down on the parkbench
I hope you never end up like this
A shadow of a feather..

Dear Friend
Dear Hater
Dear one I betrayed
I love you so
And whatevers out there,.... you don't want to know...

Trust me, i know myself
Better than anyone else
With an addiction to watching love birds sing
I know torture
And I know how to torch shit
To set the pain on fire....

To dull down all the times
I watched them turn a blind eye

To the blood doused sleeves on my straight jacket

Dani your a good girl

Damp and translucent eyes
Smile, Oh dear, oh my

Somethings got you in-ter-twined
With a situation, you can't com-pre-hend

Is it Frankie- did he tear you into tears?
Or was it your own sacrifices coming back, to make a mense

CHORUS
Did the world turn around
Then turn you sour?
Did the apple have to fall, far from the tree?
Did everything you want change, from what it used to be
Don't shed, no skin
You've already bled, so much

Dani your a good girl
Dani please don't cuss

A thousand sands astounding, sink in with the waves
Destroying the sand castle you and your daddy made

With laughter you let it go
And when Frankie came along you re-built that home

But now I don't know what is wrong, you used to tell me
Dani, don't you, hurt, nothings worth this much destruction

CHORUS
Did the world turn round
Then turn you sour
Did the apple have to fall, so far from the tree?
Did everything you want change, from what it used to be
Don't shed, no skin
You've already bled, so much

Dani your a good girl
Dani please don't cuss

- Reaching Out -
A Song of Darkness

I reach out to the stars, and I am calling your name…
You answer me in the darkness, with passion’s flame.
I feel the wings of shadow emerge from my back,
As we soar through the night, in gowns silken black!
Pleasure unending, and passion unrestrained…
Madness so beautiful, it poisons your brain.
Don’t ask me to regret, for I cannot know shame!
I am one with the darkness, but cannot be blamed.

Do not remember; do not look to the past…
For there Hell is waiting, when Heaven can’t last!
Do you hear my voice, as it sings to the stars?
In the name of the fallen, of devils and whores!

Your hand, with black polish as dark as the Abyss…
I see it stretch forward, your lips hungry for my kiss.
I feel your every desire, and so I want to cry out,
But my voice has fallen silent, far too silent to shout!
Pleasure unending, and passions unspoken…
Madness is your reward for paying the token.
Don’t ask me to reason, for emotion has its’ bliss!
And chaos is a maiden, that most ancient goddess.

Do not forget me; do not cast me aside…
For I dwell in the darkness, and in fire abide!
Do you hear the music, the symphony I play?
In the name of the fallen, of souls gone astray!

I reach out to you now, and I see you are waiting…
There is no going back, to all their lying and hating.
The preachers deceived you; so now you know,
Some flames are rapture, and pleasant their glow!
Pleasure unending, and passion to be shared…
Madness with meaning: if you are not scared.
Don’t ask me to go back to taste Heaven’s sting!
I am one with the darkness, and old chaos I bring.

Do not look forward; the future is unknown…
Like me you are cast down and can never atone!
Do you hear my voice, as it whispers the way?
In the name of the fallen, I hear when you pray!

Due to money good friendships have come to an end
For money can make an enemy out of a friend
And due to money many are serving prison time
For money or lack of it leads many to serious crime

People have been bashed over money and left there to die
And people due to money feel happy to deceive
And that it does speak every language you ought to believe
Yes money out of a friend can make a foe
I am telling you something you already know

Not much about most things I can claim to know
But I'm certain that money on trees does not grow
And though in the Human World money is the most important thing

Those with plenty money can live the good life
The wealthy old bloke has a lovely young wife
He feels that she loves him but he has got it wrong
Her love for his money than for him far more strong
Money speaks every language a truth often told
And those who have plenty of it are never too old

  money is a devil
 it is full of temptations
 money can lead you
 to hell
 it can make you sell
 your soul to the devil
 money can do everything
 within it power to make
 you do what you dont
 want to do

These days the world runs on money
People can’t live without it’s as sweet as honey
Money is a reason for stealing
Suddenly it makes money sound unappealing

Some sports stars are way overpaid
We could use that money to come to poor people’s aid
Children in Africa are way underpaid
Making cotton and wool for minimum wage

There are some people I call extreme thugs
Throwing away their lives making quick money selling drugs
Life in this generation is just about becoming rich and famous
When they go to school and act like an ignoramus
Some kids don’t go to school they prostitute themselves
To those people before them their life dissolves

For money some people even kill
 This happens everywhere
Remember money doesn’t make the world go round
It’s doing the right thing and knowing your safe and sound

 money is a devil
 it is full of temptations
 money can lead you
 to hell
 it can make you sell
 your soul to the devil
 money can do everything
 within it power to make
 you do what you dont
 want to do

The politicians make their plans
While lawyers all review their cases
And corporate money changes handsmake policies for foreignlands
As media promotes their faces

In words nobody understands
Speeches made from well known places
And corporate money changes hands
While noisy crowds and marching bands
Assemble in our public spaces

While noisy crowds and marching bands
 Assemble in our public spaces
 Keep kissing babies, greeting fans
 Phony handshakes, false embraces
 The politicians make their plans

money is a devil
it is full of temptations
money can lead you
to hell
it can make you sell
your soul to the devil
money can do everything
within it power to make
you do what you dont
want to do

I may not be rich in money but I'm rich of happiness
I don't care about money
Why?
Money can't buy everything, especially feelings
Money can't last foreverI'm happy even though I'm not rich
I have a good life, I have wonderful friendsand families,       And    most of all: I am loved and cared

Jump

Left the ground
Now I'm soaring
High above
It's hard to look down
Heart in my stomach
Thinking twice about it
But it's too late
To turn back now
Open the hatch
Jump out
I'm skydiving
Free falling
Pull the cord
Now I'm floating
Back to earth
As a new man
With a renewed perspective
I'm a one timer
Not a thrill seeker
Taking the plunge
To do what's right
Is easier said than done
But now  that I did it
I'm better for it
Because once I've reached that high
And seen my life flash before my eyes
There is no doubt in my mind
That if I seek
I shall find

My thanks! I wrote a lot of songs over the years, and all of them were to express various aspects of myself, my feelings, and even to a degree my beliefs, in various ways. I really plumbled the depths of my soul with all of them, and I just let my words flow.
