Sunset of purple blue and red
Will you paint me another picture tomorrow before I rest my head
You show my dreams and tell me what could be
Sunset of purple blue and red; kill me slowly
Earth bring me the stars that shine so bright
Show me my heart in the midnight sky
Oh dear planet bring me the moon that circles the earth
Show me my life and experiences since birth
Midnight sky, I can smell your dusk
Show me romance; Give me lust

Outside The Light (SP Summerscales)
You tore out the air
which supplied my heart
then you left me there
to slowly fall apart ,
saturday lies
even week nights
you'd look in my eyes
outside the light
Remembering , wandering
the back streets of our years
my everything , squandering
a reduction to tears .
You turned to cast
like a hollow thing
I burned to ash
in a molten ring
the kids did ask
for you to bring
yourself back home
to hope we'd cling .
Off the wall
so desperately
I did so fall ,
descent , gravity
down I went painfully
to cracked cement , a cavity
you walked , hell bent
away from me
how could you dent
our family
these babies were sent
from the heavens to me
how could you have spent
what comes for free .
You tore out the air

then you left me there

Hold me, stand me up in your arms
Engulf me in fiery passionate fire
Love me with all that is there
in your body and soul
My heart says
Show me love through the strength
of your touch your embrace
Show me love through the sparkle
in your eyes when you look at me
Be my beloved, lover, love personified
I sit here in front of you
a mug of steaming tea
on my hands,
I look at you within
the screen of the computer
and you type 'hi'
I answer with a smiley
I smile I type the usual words
Of greetings and the ever present
wish of goodwill
and how are yous...
Little anecdotes of the day
and a few hours later
you type 'goodnight'
I type 'goodbye' with a waving smiley
and you sign out
My heart screams
don't leave, no, no not again
My heart sheds tears...
tears unshed, I turn away
I know you belong to another
The flickering screen's just a conduit
to a fantasy perpetuated by a lonely heart.
My heart says

staving off my tendency
toward the comfort in immediacy

those scrying pools are searching for
the woman with face turned to the sun
feet solid in their storms
