Oh my goodness. Running a competition is the easy part; awarding a winner is not, especially when there were so many excellent entries. I was looking for imagery, emotion, and perspective on the entries.
As of today, I still hadn't picked a winner due to two being neck-and-neck.
Brenda: The imagery and sentiment of yours was so genuinely evoked. I couldn't help but be moved. Thank you for entering and congratulations on your win.
Jezkeeps:, the final couplet of your sonnet was a divine invocation. Thank you so much for entering.
Jordon: You're developing your own unique style embodying irony and humor. Good think I speak rudimentary Spanish! Thank you for entering.
Dre-k47: Excellent rhyme scheme and form. I enjoyed the perspective of this offering. Thank you for entering. You and slipalong were tied for third place. There was just something about the essence of his, from the silver picture frame to the bride's sorrow. Thank you so much for entering.
Slipalong: The sentiment was very moving, especially the Bride Stanza. That evoked such a sadness. You and Dre were tied for third place. Thank you for entering and congratulations on your placement.
Wally: Sugar Skull House: I loved that your house is a year-round dedication to the dearly departed. I love sugar skulls and need to follow suit with leaving more out throughout the year.
From Across the Bridge: This one got me. Especially the ending with the picture falling from the magnet on the fridge. I can't count the times that's happened to me personally - or one light flickering, or a book falling over, etc. Thank you for entering and congratulations on your second-place win.

You're very welcome, Crimsin and Wally. You were both very deserving.
