Poem of the Month - August 2023
HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO
May have a few minutes of your time, and show my deepest gratitude. FOR being there by myside. To say to those people who have been in my corner with prayers and love and hugs and blessings and kindness. I appreciate you all just because whether you are from near or far. For sure I know some minds are thinking, about what if it was you living life on the edge not knowing, what tomorrow will bring? I had to learn a very valuable lesson about life, the most highest spiritual soul will only give YOU his STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO HIS MOST STRONGEST SOLDIERS NO MORE THAN THEY CAN STILL BE ABLE TO BE STILL STANDING AND FIGHTING.

Until then
You tell tales of your shattered being
That If death comes right in your doorstep, You'll hug it.
But in a blink of an eye
You'll push death back
to its own oblivion
as you slowly but steadily
walk away from its shrouded embrace.
Ultimately falling back to your reality
where you welcome your fragmented soul
and slowly assemble
every bits and pieces of what was left of you.
And time jumps forward along
until you've let go
until you've grown
until you're ready
until you meet death yet again
not broken,
but whole.

edify
I have a confession
I wish to touch you all deeply
but I fear rejection
so often in life I am odd
it hurts to feel strange
an awkward soul
struggling for expression
I can write but I fight to connect with people
this disconnect bothers me
I seduce a word and send it spinning
hoping to move your heart
in my depths I am solemn
my thoughts, a kiss from my soul to yours
within the sacred tomes
we are writers
bound by a journey of discovery
crossing paths at this precise moment
I hope to edify
bring smiles perhaps
be a gentle reminder of contentment
when we touch for a brief moment
and feel divinity
