What an awesome competition, it's great to see new participants and so many people inspired by this theme. I so wanted to be naughty and award extra trophies!
The winner is 'how can you lie there and think of the summer, when world is possibly ending?' by Trouble_Loves_Me.
Beloved Rain by Jollylush (Amora) and untitled by case28 (Alexander Case) are the runners up.
These poems will feature on:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DUpoetry/
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dupoetry/
... and in our Words on a Canvas group https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/groups/words-on-a-canvas/discussion/

Awwe, a very deserving win Rob...totally hauntingly dystopian entry right from title to the picture to the very end of content, finally endlessly with love! Congratzz to Amora & Case, great entries all across. Thank you Webmiss for a deep dark theme & the comp.

Blimey. Diolch (Welsh for many thanks). Genuinely flattered, given astounding quality of writing/poets in these portals. Haven't won any kind of trophy since awarded tatty badge for 'swimming in pyjamas' in about 1878. Only started scribbling verse again 3 years ago, after postman delivered another flotilla of 'rejection slips' for my unfinished novel #477. Some say "everyone has a novel in them." Must dig deeper!
Thanks to Ahavati and my dearest Uma for gentle nudge towards reformatting. Just no beginning to my IT skills. Rob
