Good morning and Happy Christmas to everyone! Thank you to all entrants for hearmoving pieces.
Mags - Less was More is a tenant of Love and true stewardship - I really enjoyed your offering.
Midevil - "So this is why you should have good thoughts always in your head" is an excellent guide toward a peaceful and positive spirit. I enjoyed reading this twist on 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' very much.
RazzerLeaf - I am truly enjoying the spirit of this series you have going now! I imagine them as illustrated books. This was a delightful tale of of giving and demonstrating the Spirit of Christmas to the next generation.
Mysterious Lady! - Yours was so clever! I loved the compilation of Christmas Songs in such a way that they created a poem! It was a delightful and fun read!
TIG - The Reason for the Season is indeed a powerful message reminding us to look past the commercialism toward the heart of the season. Thank you for such a lovely entry.
That being said:
Wally - congratulations on First Place! Yours moved me to tears and I truly enjoyed reading this. To me, nostalgia is at the heart of Christmas - it's both a remembering and appreciating times past and present. In that aspect you nailed it.
Johnny - Trust is an integral part of belief and faith in things we don't see, and that is what the Spirit of Christmas is - pure belief in something you can't see - and trusting that it will manifest on faith. Thank you for such an astute observation and congratulations on second place!
Slip - I loved your perspective as the Spirit speaking to Virginia herself. That final stanza was golden!
Sweet Virginia I am that Clause
Not just Red garb and hearty laugh
Beneficence that giving shows
A true fact not just perhaps
Beneficence of Giving! Just perfect! Congratulations on Third Place!
Thank you again to all entrants! And may you all have a Happy, Happy Christmas! xo

Congrats to Johnny and Slip on runner ups. Thank you very much to our host for the honor on this. I hope that during this season, we spend time with those we love and appreciate them, that we spread a little more love and peace toward others.
May your holidays be blessed.

So grateful you commented on all the entries, to re-read the poems from the judges standpoint and thanks for the flattery of the last stanza trophy 3rd place
