river song
the river sings a liquid song
that calms my spirit
i watch the bubbles beat upon
the pebbles in it
i wonder how to apprehend
the fears it hides
as on its slippery slope it
pirouettes and glides
the river sings a secret song
that kills my worry
so many miles to go and yet
there is no hurry
and could my destination fill
me with such zest
my own life’s onward flow would soon
become my quest…
