As I was getting ready leave work this notification came in and I had to pause for a few seconds because I got the feels...

This year I went through this challenge with more than one purpose.  One, it meant a little more since it was going to be our last NaPo challenge with Deep Underground Poetry. Two, I was trying to honor Elisha's work by using her poem titles which gave me a lot to reflect on. Lastly, these prompts were more than inspiration, they gave me fuel, a fire I hadn't felt before.

To crimsin and Tallen, congrats standing on the podium. I know in the last few months I wish I could have read more of your works but you know how it is when we're restricted with time.

NaPo Team and participants, I am very honored. I am humbled and grateful for everything I've learned through these comps, these workshops, these interactions which have inspired me to try harder. NaPo has given me so much,  I cannot measure the joy I've felt over the years when your comments gave me confidence.

Tammy, you and Johnny always gave me constructive praise, shedding light at times when I felt unsure. I rely on the wisdom and experience of others so that when I reach those heights I will pass it down to those who ask. Thank you for being the voice of reason, for standing for kindness, for speaking up and never backing down.

I want to wish you all the best in your personal lives and poetic endeavors. May you reach your goals and succeed in whatever you set your hearts in. Be well, take care of yourselves and I hope to see you in other sites as we continue on this journey.

Sincerely,
Walter
