This year in remembrance of Eerie is a most a fitting tribute for a poet I think, the celebration and the tribulation of words..
When the going gets tough what do you do? With the sad news today of DUP closing in May, I've decided to keep on keeping on.. If my writes are lost well, they'll join the others that will never be seen again but life goes on either way. Somewhere here is a brief bio and there's a write tackled in the same manner as most of my NAPOWRIMO writes usual are in free verse / writes however you like to call them. Available in my submissions if your curious..
Be well and if you are going for it this year, see you round and ask for help if you need it!

Dear Registered Participants
Team'25 has been brainstorming behind the scenes and the majority desires to move forward, so we will at this time. Navigating a site closure can be tricky technically, but we'll face those hurdles and any other that come our way when we get there.
This challenge, as the last NaPo of DU, is in honor of Eerie. She didn't give up on herself and fought the good fight—so should we. This isn't about trophies or years any longer because quite frankly, none of that matters.
It's about the last NaPo we share together—and, most importantly, Eerie.
Those who desire to drop out, we understand. Let us know.

To date, we have 24 participants representing 9 countries who will be coming together for this final NaPo honoring Eerie and the spirt of poetry. We look forward to the comradery of this final event and those who have sustained it throughout the years to make it the most successful annual event on DU. If anyone wishes to drop out, we understand; however, this ship sails April 1st!
We hope you're all aboard!

If we're exiting these halls, I'm going to put in one last push of creativity for the memories. I'm still in

Well, I had a lot to say before discovering DU was closing, and now I am not sure what to say. I am humbled and overwhelmed by the tenacity of Team NaPo'25 and its registrants for hanging in there for this final event of the website.
While it's all so bitter-sweet, it's also a blessing that we were brought together in this tiny piece of an enormous universe. Nothing is by chance; there are no coincidences; we were all meant to meet to encourage one another, remind one another of what's important, push a few buttons to help us grow, and teach us appreciation for what is lost.
Please feel free to join us for this final trek of DU's NaPo in memory of Eerie and in honor of the spirit of Poetry.

For me, there's a kind of pressure TO NOT SPILL CRAP, as i feel i've done that previous 2 Napo's.
This 2025 will be memorable in many ways i will attempt to ink.
It ain't gonna be easy, but what truthful and honorable endeavor is?
If any who THOUGHT ABOUT entering an event like this, why not get some practice in and join in. Damn near ever Poetry website journeys on the same trip. It's kind of fun and kind of not. Maybe, join in with a group of friends? Y'all can support one another and / or bounce off ideas or Piggy-back your spills.
This is DUP's last NaPo, so whatcha got to lose?
