Troubled By Light

By the light of the Moon,
I crumpled my life,
Like the paper of ancient poets’ strife,

The ink of my story was all dry and smeared,
So, how did I repurpose what was sorely misshapen,
This chaotic mess that was there and feared,

I heard some pages start to unravel,
So, I picked one up, but I was quickly engulfed,
By the sound and cry of a howling wolf,

I knelt to the Earth as I felt I was finished but I sank into it and was indeed diminished.

Full Moon Resurrection

Under the night veil
your white light reveals
the creatures that emerge in the dark

When I called the rite
it fills my soul with hate and fire
into the dark with pagan pleasures
take me with you to infinity
far from human decay

Infernal night by night
majestic
in the shadows
reborn

The beast is coming for the ritual
starving for blood and flesh
you always present hidden witness
exalting the face of the executioner

"Pale Upon The Ebon"

O argent orb that crowns the night
Thy shape aglow with heaven's grace
Thou beacon of the seraphs' flight
A mirror to the Maker’s face

In Eden’s dusk thou first did gleam
A silver hymn to Adam’s fall
And yet thou weav’st redemption’s dream
Thy glow a balm, a holy call

Art thou Diana’s shield aloft
Where hunters roam in twilight’s keep?
Or Gabriel’s horn, resounding soft
Through veils where restless angels weep?

The prophets spake of signs in thee
A chalice brimming o’er with dine
Thy fullness holds eternity
Thy crescent whispers sacred divine

At Calvary’s hour, thy shadow waned
As bloodied skies concealed the Lamb
Yet now thy glory is unchained
A herald of the great caller of I AM

Thou pendulum of time’s vast sea
Thy phases mark the mortal breath
A silver psalm to eternity
A stillness carved from life and death

O moon, thou art no pagan’s crown
But lantern for the pilgrims’ way
A pearl set in the Savior’s gown
Adorned with hues of ashen gray

Against the sky, thou humbly reign’st
Thy light no rival to the sun
Yet in thy glow, creation faints
And whispers soft: "His will be done."

Shine on, O orb, illuminate throne
Till earth and stars shall fall and fade
For in thy glow, like saintly bones
And Christ is all, in resplendence wade

Obdormiam in lumine tuo.

Full moon full of flashes and shadows,
Illuminate the night with your mysterious glow.
Lonely path, under your intense gaze,
you reflect ancient secrets in the still waters.

The breeze whispers stories of times gone by
and the trees dance to the sound of the wind.
In every shadow, a hidden enigma,
in every flash, a waking dream.

Serene night, stage of fantasies,
where the moon is queen and guide.
Your silver face watches in silence
the lost steps, the wandering souls.

Under its light, the world takes on a new tone.
Revealing beauties and mysteries of the unknown.
Full moon, guardian of the night hours
and I, who do not believe, fall asleep in your light.

Full Moon Lunacy

This full moon lunacy of light
Keeps me awake at night
Preventing the dreams I neglect
With such a psychological affect

Should I stay inside my room
Twisting thoughts in my tomb
I can't close my eyes or sleep
For tomorrow the crazies will creep

The hoard of zombies released
With their bipolar disorder unleashed
Causing them all to be incensed
Walking around the streets unfenced

For reasons they can't remember
Unhinged with their short tempers
Provoking dangerous bizarre behavior
Wolves looking to taste blood flavor

Unleashed with no restrictions
Seeking to feed their addictions
Hunting for some prey to kill
Creating chaos is their skill

Noone seems to be immune
From the mental affects of the moon
They can be seen and felt everywhere
Challenge the next day do I dare

Am I brave and feeling adventurous
Blending in while supersensuous
Or do I stay inside with immunity
Protecting me from this full moon lunacy

Until the phases of the moon change
And people become un-deranged
It's not safe to take a chance
Under the control of the full moon stance

A Moonflower I

Her pale full beauty still haunts my mind
but she is far beyond heart's grasp,
she beams on me she seems so kind,
I am mesmerised my eyes stuck fast.
A Lunatic, I , at the last
as tides within surge ebb and roar
my eyes forever are up cast
as I soar upwards to adore.

Her Mother, sun, can burn and blind
her power beams so wide and vast,
but I believe that I have chimed
with daughter moon my lot, is cast.
I've  seen her pale light as I glanced,
as Moonflower I beg for more,
but by sunrise hopes may be dashed
at my slow growth up to adore.

She tests my strength, I slowly climb
further and further even past,
the Wild Woodbine or Clinging Vine
on her Mother's rising, I , abashed
can only curse as her bright light blasts
me down from my attempted soar
and wilted now, I am downcast,
from the impossible, to adore...

Full Moon ín Love

Once in a month I cry for your love
Without words but loud and clear
Don't look around you, I'm not here
Find me high in the sky above

Sometimes I reach out for you
My moonbeam fingers stroke your fur
Until almost like a cat you purr
And I feel that you love me too

Protected by the velvety night
I kiss you soft and tender
Caress you with my splendor
Your yellow eyes reflect my light

Tonight you'll throw back your head
And howl a sweet melody to me
I blush with delight can you see
My moon face is covered in red

Though I will be with you never
Every four weeks we shall meet
I'll lay my heart at your furry feet
And swear I will love you forever

Moon

Gazing at the spherical moon,
I notice it doesn't look the same to you
While I admire its glow, its silver beax
Your grey perception has no clue

Do not fret; it is my mistake alone
How shallow of me to assume
You notice nature's gloom—
For moons and stars are merely that to you

Cryptic symbols furnish my tomb
Try to decipher my last plea

I give you one last scream
Begging you to notice my moon bleeding

Swirling syllables surround my head
When will the moon's shadowed time end?
Will the moon remind you of myself
When the last ticking clock strikes twelve

As your panicked being patches the moon's cracks,
You shall wonder how shallow my end you met
The moon, the only remnant of its ashes
Will reveal itself instead of my left gashes

Now you stare at my marred moon
Too late—it does look the same to you
My moon's silver beax
Left its last shimmering glow

Full Moon Silverlight

The pearl full moon floats in a star pricked sea,
casting upon the ocean's swell
a crystal chipped path
ripples of rocky reflected light
born of the sun that gilds my beloved’s face
in the land where she resides,
far beyond my sunset.

I cannot, in this dusty reflection,
chase her hot shadow,
but silverlight blends
with my eventide shade
and I dance on the shoreline,
stepping with the pearled ribbons
that lace and purl the briny ruffles.

The sea breeze,
another finger of the zephyr’s hand
that twines her flowing hair,
whispers, surrendering mystic songs
cast to the sky, before my sunrise.

Alone on this nocturnal beach, shaded with full
moon tones, I raise friable castles in the sand,
dampened with ocean water swept in streamlines
from the palm-tree swathe
where she skips foam flecked waves
rolling and swirling about her feet.

I trawl my fingers in the darkened swell,
chasing the rippling glitter —
silverlight sighs from the sun that beams on my beloved,
far beyond my sunset.
