Keep paying attention, the dam is about to break. It's all held together by a celebrity billionaire. How typically and pathetically American.

Seems like you have a high bar? Maybe that's not something you should apply to politicians, or people in general for that matter.
Oh, but who am I to say that you shouldn't bleed for your patch of dirt. Go right ahead.

These people are looking for a damn savior, a king who caters to Christian Nationalism. They don't want a leader of a country who represents everyone. [/quote]

This is great, so we are looking for a multi racial, multi gender, christian/muslim/jew to be in charge of 360 million people.
I'm a troll, just ignore me, I can't help myself.

Speaking in the shadow of the USS Yorktown, an aircraft carrier permanently moored at Patriots Point, retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Don Bolduc, a veteran of 10 tours in Afghanistan, said Trump’s bringing the husband of his political rival, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, was “absolutely wrong.”

He then went on to recall a series of other disparaging remarks the former president has made or is alleged to have made about everyone from former Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., to the war dead at Arlington National Cemetery, and called those “absolutely wrong” as well.

“Perhaps someone can prove me wrong, but while presidents have differed over the years in their policies on defense, I don’t think any other president in the history of this country has cast aspersions on service members, veterans and their families the way that Donald Trump has,” he said.

“Donald Trump has that distinction,” Bolduc continued.

The retired general, who was also the recipient of two Purple Hearts, went on to say Trump’s making derogatory comments about Haley, or any military member, simply mystified him, especially in a state that’s home to multiple military bases.

“Donald Trump sought five deferments due to bone spurs,” he said. “I went through Army ranger school with bone spurs. Over the course of my career, I’ve known both men and women who have served their country whether they were hurt or hurting. It did not matter.

“They knew ensuring the security of our country is serious business and worthy of personal sacrifice,” he continued.

“No one who can’t honor the fallen and those who serve should ever be president of the United States,” Bolduc said.

When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, near Paris, in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day.

In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood assuckers” for getting killed.

Almost everything trump does is political theater, from escalator descent and mask removal, all the way up to having a maxi pad on his head after some camera friendly fist pumps. I'm waiting for him to refer to the assassination attempt as combat.

MAGA needs to grow up about the nature of entertainment...

Yeah, I was introduced to that term in the late 80's early 90's when my son liked wrestling. Ric Flair, "Babydoll",  and others I've totally forgotten ( two brothers ) were his favorites.

We actually partied with Flair at a few gatherings, and he told us it was all for show because it's what the audience wanted.

I'd forgotten all about the term, or made the connection between it and Trump's politics until HCR associated it in yesterday's letter.

True to the bone, it is.

"WHOOOOOOOO!"

Harmless enough for entertainment purposes, but essentially a crime against the citizenry who already struggle every day in trying to reduce the collective psychosis to a minimum, which is critical to the purposes of fair public policy accuracy and effectiveness.

But it's a perfect carny approved process for permanently hoodwinking those rube members of the republic who are already doubled down into their anti-establishment "rebel" identities, where the ego comes first in their auto-demographical associations with hipster tattoos, Harleys, addictions, and Coors marketing by way of public drinking, which are all about the individual staying with the E.O. Wilson ant-like culture hive.

Which is exactly what conservatives SAY they don't like about socialism, as they routinely DEMONSTRATE socialistic traits, like joining a church or the military, where individualism gets lip-service without actually being encouraged.

Next thing you see is a whole country scratching its national head about what's causing all the corruption.

Agreed. Entertainment is one thing, political platforms are another.
