Dream Vision
beauty as my soul takes flight
in a kaleidoscope of colours radiant light in mystic realms
my spirit roams in my dreams
sun-kissed meadows ablaze with grace
wildflowers adorn the green
in gentle dance with the wind
a vibrant colours of rainbows
vision dream dive deep
depths of the ocean
where scenes evoke sighs
graceful creatures glide serene
in the celestial expanse
stars burst in cosmic dusts
constellations born in hues of brilliance
shimmering silver on brims of milky ways
In the dream vision an ethereal sight
within the human heart love and kindness
it's beauty making us whole
with a touch of the divine
in a kaleidoscope of colours radiant light in mystic realms
my spirit roams in my dreams

Dark streets on the edge of the industrial zone ...
Connecting but not locked in
A loner moves in between the lines
It takes courage to live outside the box
Comforted though by bits of human engagement
Dylan said it best
"To live outside the law you must be honest"
Somehow those words ring true for this cowboy
Dark streets on the edge of the industrial zone
A lone light leading to the halal cart
Chicken over rice in a whirlwind of scent
Maybe it's the spices and just enough conversation
Or just maybe, it's something else .....

Is Internet Actually a Ploy to Better Control Our Minds?
Useful it is
information we (they) receive.
Recipes to better perceive--
hooligans dancing in the wild
pranks and riches
catch-phrases, clickbaits, n' cats!
All nicely wrapped and served to us
with a hearty dose of blue-ray.
Pornography to jade our mind
days, nights and even in the afternoons!
How much will it take?
Our mental stamina,
your bodies to neglect,
families we forget,
have you even eaten yet?
24, 48, 72, all those hours on the grind--
just wish there's no need for sleep.
Weakening, lessening, our mental focality
each day, it lessens,
softening our nerves
for the waves to then better penetrate.
A rise, distortion, deprivation
with these dark webnecessities.
News and views, to skew and imbue,
to better fit the puppeteer
with electromagnetic strings.
React
this way or that, can you rationalize this?
Was it the booze,
or lack of snooze?
It's the drugs...or maybe the lack of,
late night partying,
or that early morning shift we didn't get paid enough for.
Throw your tensions at an old man's pension,
that girl's having an emotional breakdown.
Anyways,
I think I've been awake for too long.

Ebon Night
It's a disguise in an ebon night
as you loosen your grip
on the throwaway cloak
Stepping out, from that shadow-gown
I had hoped you'd come
dressed so conveniently
As I slide the shadow aside
and expose how brave you are
The art of undressing lost
within this riot of shredding
streamers of dark and light
I never doubted my ability
but I thought you were beyond me
Until you opened your eyes
in such a way
as pools of dusky air
Like an Autumn night flickering
hinting of your long lost warmth
underneath your superficial coolness
Standing there so collected
Yet your nerves are thrashing you
same as mine
You're my jaguar by day
my godiva at night
Here, atop this pale horse
My hair; Your reins
My breath; Your pace
Listen as the room changes
our inner echoes clamoring
for attention
'Til a whisper from somewhere
suddenly less distant
It's your voice, cautious but raspy
Yet your eyes are set on dare
for me to partake of your deep-set wishes
No longer strangers;
I build your shoulders up, as
I fashion your hair up
As my hands begin a memory of you
that I will carry like a lozenge
melting down my throat
Wintergreen
No
Butter rum
Resurrecting your flavor
inside my mouth
when I think of you
during the lulls of breaks
When even just your name
tingles upon my tongue
Practiced
while I hold you down;
It's not to control you
It's to steady me
As I react to what
you want of me
During this commotion
of discovery
Our sounds muffled against our skins
The coo and the growls
My lips pushing against your shoulder
as I feel you coming exposed
with each fractured gasp
As I, now hoarse, mouth your name
Multiple syllables flicking off
of my tongue
In sparks, those early ignitions
as the explosions come
Intertwined, our boneless bodies
coil like serpents sinning
as dawn unfolds a rapturous morning
Tho I am still blinded
to all that isn't you
~
Tonight, they will tell us
indeed, there was a today
While we slept through the sun
as it sought power
from the firelit rages
that we've become
It called your name
Pleaded for me to let you alone
No, sun, she remains with me
under the ebony blanket
Our eyes making movies
for one another
Highlighting how we shone
We are the only stars
in this ebon room.

Perspiring Rain
The sky melts
under a boiling sun
dripping beads of perspiring rain.
Pearls of translucent sweat
slip down glistening skin
into lukewarm pools
then evaporates
in a humid, misty haze;
opaque clouds of breath.

dripping beads of perspiring rain.
Pearls of translucent sweat
slip down glistening skin
into lukewarm pools
then evaporates
in a humid, misty haze;
opaque clouds of breath.

Clouds of Desire
Enormous cloud masses
roam a still dark dawn sky.
Clouds will never reveal the why.
Ivory abyss's that are cotton lined.
They are the movement of our dreams.
The storm in my mind, rumbles,
with a thunder of remembrance.
Of every far, vast dream
that life denied my grasp.
I look around the enormous world,
................so very tiny am I.
A miniscule human still believing
in the reincarnation of large dreams.
While the sky flashes with a lightning of desire.
My heart replies with electric beams,
to herds of clouds passing bye.
If we only knew, what we desire, desires us too.

The Number 18
Number 18 is a number etched on the skin
a parchment of smiles through tears
a number, simple but never forgotten
written on the scabs of old wounds
18th of November a path to glory was hoed
furrowed flesh won't ever hurt as much
or whispered goodbye and signs in the cloud
of oncoming storm of soul in death's clutch
remembering the name in the echoes of time
torch burning bright like a bush aflame
18 evoke regrets and what could have been
thus memories albums are flipped through again
the 18th of February a long time ago
a love bloomed in a beautiful display
the word was spoken thought to be true
the castle in the cloud was interrupted midway
love grown and thrived through sorrows
we tried to seek happiness along the way
we tried bravely to keep all our vows
but the crack showed and lies held sway
The number 18, always makes me think
of love and death like bookends
I, simply sitting in between
listening to their avid conversations.
