Mine hasn't, A. We don't think Andy would have won if the Republican candidate had been white ☹️

Not sure why, ajay, especially in light of Gabe Amo becoming Rhode Island's first Black congressman, and Danica Roem becoming the first transgender to the Virginia State senate. But given the history of our country I can totally understand that line of thought. Kentucky is a different animal than RI and Virgina ( though barely on the latter ).

I hate saying this about my state, but there are DEEP prejudices still alive and well. Of the offices available for me to cast my vote, all were won by republicans EXCEPT the governor. That race was between a white democrat and a black republican (who is married to a white woman [which is also very taboo still in lots of rural areas of KY]). We only had 38% voter turnout and I heard with my own ears MANY people say “I will never vote for a black man.” Now, I understand that me saying all that is anecdotal. So, it doesn’t REALLY hold water. But, for me, it is hard to ignore.

I’m of the opinion that Andy only won his first term because Bevin self-destructed and took a big old dump all over teachers (and other public workers) in the last year of his term.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take the win. But I hate that I have that ugly thought in my head about the people of my state.

Oh, I believe you. If Trump's tenure revealed anything about this country, it was the deep-seated racism that still exists in the hearts and minds of certain individuals. Especially those in the Bible Belt ( which we are ) whose resentment over the abolition of slavery and the rise of minorities has been brewing for decades. Being blue or independent in red states is tough.

I am sore AF. Transplanted five pots and two trays plus another pot of seeds yesterday. Pansies! The yard and patios were a MESS after three days of blustery rain and wind, so had to clean those off as well as rake the dang leaves. At least the weather was beautiful! Still hanging my clothes out on the line! I feel it's the calm before winter's storm.

It’s my office’s thanksgiving dinner today. I made rolls. Starting the day with my house smelling like bread is a fantastic thing!

My FAVORITE smell is baked goods, whether bread, cake, muffins, whatever! Those look divine!

I deep clean my house twice a year. The first the week before Easter and the second the week before Thanksgiving. When I say deep clean, I mean EVERYTHING comes off a shelf or out of a drawer so it and whatever goes back on/in it can be cleaned. I tackled my dining room Monday and living room yesterday. My office was today. This thing is a beast, but I got it done!

It's my Eastern Altar with sacred decks, books, and tools. I also got my ritual cupboard with all my altar supplies AND desk. Over three hours later. . .and I am worn out! Again!

What actress said "Housework will kill you if you do it right." But I do love Thanksgiving and the house is a dream to live in after the cleaning.

I'm sore AF but feeling energized by the moving.

Oooh! Those shelves look interesting, A. I could rootle around in there for hours. 🙃 What's that 'Love Signs' book about, second shelf up from the bottom, towards the right? If I saw that on a bookshop shelf, I'd have to take it down and investigate. 📗

Well done on the cleaning, too. Most impressive. I picked a sock up off the floor a week last Tuesday, so that's me done for another year. 🙃

LOL @ your sock.

That's Linda Goodman's Love Signs, ajay. She was my first lighthouse when I was in my late teens. I started with her Sun Signs and was shocked at how accurate she described me. That was my first dip into astrology. She also write Star Signs. I had all of her books at one time, but two were lost in transport at some point in life.

I snapped you a shot of a page you might be interested in, after I cleaned my lens, of course. I had no idea that previous photo was so bad!

In astrology, it's very important to know thyself before trying to know others.
