Knowing Hands... ( a villanelle )
Shall I love you with my lip and soft hands
the intelligence of my fingertips?
I loved you before you bestowed your glance,
the sweetness in your eye, so sure, enhanced
this, faintest of smiles you showed on your lip,
I shall worship you with lip and fine hands,
then, for all we will enjoy love's romance
lip on lip as we begin to kiss, sip,
Oh, I loved you before you cast your glance,
mesmerizing me into this, my trance,
as my heart began its dance and thus wished
to worship you with lip and my soft hands.
Your languidness will teach my hand to dance
around your all to caress your love's gift,
I loved you long before you cast your glance,
as out of this deep lone well, we advance,
never again shall we be cast adrift,
we loved each long before we cast our glance
and we will worship each with, knowing hands.
