Is the World Safe for Conversation Anymore?
Been avoiding online conversations after some crazy news stories broke. Thus ensuing misery at the losing of my voice. In the name of safety.
It’s clear that for some people conversation is taboo unless it agrees with the elite consensus.
But this is the exact thing the enemy of all of us needs to accomplish the worst things of all.
If an echo chamber is all we have left we no longer have the epic, historical narrative called the Great Conversation.
At this point, anyone who talks is willing to die for their right to talk.
We are beyond the safe territory of recent historical norms. Have you seen the threats from the Left???
Because there are people who are willing to do the worst to us for just disagreeing with part of their narrative, regardless of whether we are left or right on the political spectrum.

BTW, I’m very sympathetic with many left leaning sentiments. But most of those are mainstream now.
I can use the Bible to prove homosexuality is not a sin (in Old and New Testament terminology)
I’m pro women’s rights. On the basis that there is no gender in Christ, because we are in a state of total spiritual equity before the Creator.
As an anti-racist I believe in honoring the fifth commandment so I honor my black ancestry in claiming it. Every one of us came from Africa’s Eve. And all surviving lines will flow back together in our descendants.
As an antiracist, pro-natalist I support life at it’s earliest stages, as well as equitable economic support for our mothers-to-be, empowering their lawful health choices. We all need to grow healthy children and have responsible choice.
But is that enough to make me safe from Leftist rage, even though I am no threat to them?
I could go on. But I would rather read how you feel about the narrative between ideologies. Do you feel safe expressing yourself?

I'm afraid you ARE a threat to leftists. I was banned from 6 sub- Reddits before I finally disavowed the site. Years ago, I was punished by college professors for the same "offense". One failed me for "wrong think" ... Even on this wonderful poetry site, in forums, my ideas and historical facts are conveniently ignored in lieu of attacks on my intelligence. The founding foundation of free speech in this country is the main obstacle for would be mental slavers. In all countries when these groups gained power, free speech, free press, and suffrage are the first things to go. Then the political opponents are labeled a threat and are the first against the wall. It has worked very well for a hundred years. Currently, lame stream media are pushing just such a narrative to condition citizens into attacking that "manufactured" threat. Bolsheviks and brown shirts beat the masses into submission, accusing their opponents of that which they were guilty. History is now repeating itself. Having said that, the fact is that it’s REALLY not a safe world for children. 1 in 5 (I just read, are solicited during games and chats by adults. 800,000 go missing EVERY YEAR and their life expectancy at that point is grim. 7 years, on average.)

We all should be mad about theses crimes against humanity. I am, too.
Even more - I’ve been worried that my kids are being groomed by the tv - starting with cartoons. The teens watch crappy live action which all have unrealistic plots.
Without glorifying violence against the kids, can’t we have plots that don’t involve children bonding with seedy strangers and going off with them to accomplish improbable goals?
Not only did I try to hold my tongue online, but along the way have been thinking about unplugging the kids.
