my poem surrendering
surrendering
becoming who i really am
while stepping out of all i am
is exhausting, and rather counterproductive
loving the skin that i am in
but hating the skin that i am in
there’s no answer, as life is endless
is there anywhere that i can go
to hide away, and end my troubles
i’m not giving up, i’m simply retiring
this earth’s real sick and this existence–
is an endless list of toxic shi-
and i’m arriving, to this chapter’s end
and i’m departing, from this book i’m stuck in

Someone said it was like trying to choose your favorite child -it is a rather apt sentiment.

They are my favorites for various reasons, but I can say that after I wrote each piece, I felt as if something inside me had been repaired. Each one of these pieces then went on to push me to write with more precision, to search deeper and with less fear.

on the shedding of skin
when they nail you by the head
to the rude rough post
grip tight and peel, so slow,

My favorite would be Beautifully Me- short memoir because it lays my insecurities on the line and how I easily faced them. I think it is beautiful when you can be one with your flaws and be an imperfect flower that is still blossoming throughout.
Social Media Puppets
I'm just trying to play my part to fit into society.
Fooling myself thinking that by getting likes,
pokes, and followings, that they are inspiring to be me.
All the while they are conspiring against me.
Plotting to see the real me for all my flaws and insecurities.
Hoping that this breakaway mask that's covered in smiles and laughs,
would fall apart so they can finally have something to point at and laugh.
Wishing that I'll show my weaknesses,
So they can use hate as their greatest strength,
And prove that all I done was irrelevant.
But I guess I'll continue along with my jokes, challenges and songs,
and take their verbal punches and hide my bruises, so that I don't feel quite alone,
or until this mask that I wear finally cracks
and I start firing back with my own verbal attacks.
Because we are all just people and there's not really anyone to blame,
other then the social medias we use for making use puppets in a on going game.

During the summer, I edited/revised all of mine. About a 1000 poems; I honestly don't remember how many. I might have deleted one or two god awful pieces of crap. It's impossible to choose a favorite.
