I know she won't cause i'm an essential worker and already she's stated because of my work i could be a carrier of the virus and she won't let me near her door feeling utterly paranoid.
I have a feeling, It will be a long long time before I see her again cause she's paralyzed by fear.
And I don't blame her, she's been in vulnerable health state for sometime but it saddens me that the only thing she has is the TV as news source and as salvation.

There is a quote which I had heard before but I don't think it made as big an impact as it does now:

"Insanity is doing something over and over again while expecting different result" by Einstein

And the world is going insane by closing, quarantining again and again, mendating masks everywhere..while expecting different results.

I separated this part from the initial topic because I wanted to comment on your ability to recognize fear in action, and demonstrate patience with her.  I think if more people could do that, they would alleviate ( or at least curtail the growth ) of fear, somewhat.  Not to have someone jump down your throat for believing differently is enough to relax in the conversation and open up, somewhat.

One other thing I would like to insert here which I'm sure its not completely new news to any of us anymore but it sort of hit me with a new light recently after seeing it go around in social medias even though the original vid and article dated of April of this year as I'm sure not much has changed by mid july.
The way all deaths are classified as covid deaths thus the numbers have been mind boggling..leaving most wondering where are the regluar deaths in midst all of this.

https://week.com/2020/04/20/idph-director-explains-how-covid-deaths-are-classified/

But today NY announced they had no deaths of corona for the first time in months lol, i replied to their tweet that perhaps by chance they stopped labling deaths as covid..hopefully the health officials will start doing the death recording in truthful way for once!!

I think in time poeple will wake up from all this bombardment to see what is logical and what is not, what is sensible and what is down right a fallacy but more so a manipulation of either contrived of politics or notoriety.
Sadly we're all the hamster on the wheel and they're all watching us like some lab experiement.

I really delved into that aspect a month or so back to fully understand the classification of deaths. Those with underlying medical conditions considered at risk who contracted covid and passed away were automatically listed as covid deaths because they couldn't determine whether the patient would've lived longer had they not contracted covid. I do agree with that reasoning. Despite being ill or diagnosed with an underlying health condition, they may have lived for years had they not contracted covid.

New York is seeing the light and I'm happy about that. I still contend this is a natural selection virus that will be with us a very long time. I do not live in fear, but I do live in respect and refuse to act negligently against myself anymore than I would my children or G'precious.

I also want to add that I think the election process is amplifying this, as both sides seem to be using it as a political tool. And frankly, I am utterly sick of both Democrat and Republican. I am officially unaffiliated.

Maybe nobody saw this? Maybe it means nothing??

If you  are ignoring me because it’s the politest thing you can do, then thank you for your tolerance.

I just want to see kids get their healthier normal social lives back.

I’ve seen first hand what scientist talk about. Isolation is a killer.
Agoraphobia combined with unpracticed social skills has about finished some like us.

What’s the point of living if you have no social life of any kind and no future or hope of such?

Wouldn’t it be better to go out and get sickened to death or be shot in the head for disagreeing with someone?

Coronavirus: Llamas provide key to immune therapy

https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-53369103

Scientists from the UK's Rosalind Franklin Institute have used Fifi's specially evolved antibodies to make an immune-boosting therapy.

The resulting llama-based, Covid-specific "antibody cocktail" could enter clinical trials within months.

The development is published in Nature Structural and Molecular Biology .

It involves "engineering" llama antibodies, which are relatively small, and much more simply structured than the antibodies in our own blood. That size and structure means they can be "redesigned" in the lab.

^ That's very interesting. It seems like I have read half a dozen discoveries in regards to antibodies entering human trials within months; however, I don't remember hearing about them afterward. Maybe it means they didn't work; or, maybe they're still in trial. Humans tend to think animals rely on them, and many take them for granted via cruel practices.  However, we are connected and rely more on animals than we think. . .

it sounds promising and is the first I've heard of an animal based attempt. Right there with you; as long as they are being treated with respect.

Layla, I thought you would find this interesting.

Coronavirus: Face masks and coverings to be compulsory in England's shops

Wearing a face covering in shops and supermarkets in England is to become mandatory from 24 July.

Those who fail to comply with the new rules will face a fine of up to £100, the government has announced.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said it would "give people more confidence to shop safely and enhance protections for those who work in shops".

The move will bring England into line with Scotland and other major European nations like Spain, Italy and Germany.

Since mid-May, members of the public have been advised to wear coverings in enclosed public spaces, where they may encounter people they would not usually meet.

Mask-wearing has been compulsory on public transport in England and at NHS facilities across the UK since 15 June.

Children under 11 and those with certain disabilities will be exempt.

Mr Hancock told the Commons: "The death rate of sales and retail assistants is 75% higher amongst men and 60% higher amongst women than in the general population."

He added: "There is also evidence that face coverings increase confidence in people to shop."

I found this very interesting regarding reactions to breastfeeding. *

Not my meme, unsure who to credit, as it was posted in various outlets today.
