Your view of the world has a flavor some don't like the taste of, although I've seen some aquire a taste for your view after a while .
I have said in the past, that i felt that Ahavati is pure narcissist. I have since learned to dispel our differences and take a look at the whole woman which this thread has slowed me to see.
We all have narc tendencies some more than others the label is used to much now days. Today, I see in Ahavati, pieces of narc behavior, not a narcissist.
After having lived with a diagnosed malignant narcissist as my spouse you would think the last thing I would have are narc tendencies but I do have them
I see these as learned human behavior a mechanism to protect myself from pain and ridicule. I developed the very thing I despised
I had a difficult relationship with my mom and Ahavati reminds me of her
I would always turn the mom volume down and ignore what was said
By listening to what Ahavati has to say (which I don't always agree with especially COVID-19)
I have been humbled to open my eyes more often
I won't begin to say what I see in everyone, that's a different thread altogether

Thank you, Val! I appreciate that. I actually feel the same way about you. And I had a discussion with a good friend about making the choice to listen ( and for her to call me out if I didn't ). I am glad I did because I've really come to admire you.
We all have narcissistic traits, but, no, I am not a narcissist. I do not shadow, harass, troll for attention, take things out of context, cherry-pick, write derogatory poetry about others, nor deliberately bully ( though it's been said I have ). I am a scorpion; thus, pretty direct with the truth as I perceive it ( which doesn't make it universal truth by any means ). I have been in the legal profession and worked with some tough litigators across the country for 15 years, so that makes me seem somewhat hard. But I try to present the facts and allow others to make up their own minds.
That has been misinterpreted as arrogance or haughty many times, particularly when I feel I need to rise above and ignore others for my own peace of mind. I don't think I am better than anyone; however, I do think I am good enough to protect against harassment and deliberate provocation. Also, there are a lot of backdoor politics on this site that many members aren't aware of, and those come into play in certain threads involving certain people.
Anyway, I am happy I got to know you; feel free to call me out if you feel I've ever crossed the and we'll talk it out. Maybe in some strange way you can heal something of you through the part that reminds you of your mother. There's a reason for everything, after all.

In the days leading up to Trump's Saturday rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he and his allies ginned up expectations for a massive crowd with campaign officials telling CNN that more than a million people had registered to attend, and one local official stating they expected 100,000 to show up near the arena.
But those crowds didn't appear as large as expected Saturday afternoon, leading to an abrupt change of plans by the campaign. A campaign source told CNN that the team was abandoning plans for the President to speak to an "overflow" area outside the arena in Tulsa where only a couple dozen people were standing near the outdoor stage less than two hours before the rally.
Also regarding the rally ...
Few rallygoers were wearing masks as they entered the venue to take seats that were right next to one another. The crowd standing near the stage was already tightly packed as people without face coverings stood face-to-face talking to one another as loud music played in the background.
Trump initially was scheduled to hold the rally on Friday, which would have fallen on Juneteenth, the day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. That decision angered many progressive leaders and protesters who have been in the streets demonstrating against racism in the weeks since George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer. The decision was particularly fraught because of Tulsa's history as the site of one of the worst racially-motivated massacres in US history in 1921 when a White mob attacked Black residents and business owners in the Tulsa neighborhood known as Greenwood.
The President changed the rally date to Saturday in what he described as a gesture of respect to the observance of Juneteenth, but he has continued to antagonize protesters. On Friday, he warned in a tweet that protesters could be roughly handled.
"Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!" he tweeted.
