Freedom of Speech and Censorship

Guilt by omission is when prosecutors withhold vital information in relation to a defendant's innocence.  This just burns me up.  I would appeal; do something to exonerate my name.  What makes this one so atrocious is that he was just released from the hospital and even showed the officer his wound! And yet they still took him down, which opened the wound and caused a five-day hospital stay, in which he was HANDCUFFED.

I swear I would sue for the medical bills and whatever else I could. Pain. Damages. And so on.

They. Would. Pay.

No doubt, with you in their corner.

Canopy of Darkness

My Lord made darkness
His covering
in Psalm 18

blotting enemies
Ezekiel reveals
God will cover
the heavens
and make
their stars dark;

This is the
formation
of a black fist
into a
mighty skyline

The rising of
one red blood

Stand By Me

No one controls the circumstances they're born into
No one controls the lightness or darkness of their hue
Yet we continue to go through the same ignorance
At what point will we unite & fight with a collective stance?

She's one of several in mine as well. Every family has at least one. All you can do is put space in between you and them -preferrably miles of it. If they have no money, they can't afford a car to visit you.

Damn. Another ( in addition to Black Wall Street and Rosewood ) I didn't know about.

In August 1985 Philadelphia police dropped a bomb on a West Philly neighborhood, specifically on the house of a Black liberation group called MOVE, killing 11 members, including 5 children, destroying 61 homes and leaving 250 people homeless.

On the day of the bombing, the police were sent to the MOVE house to execute arrest warrants for several members. When those inside the house refused to respond, the authorities decided to take extreme measures. They somehow justified the use of military grade weapons, despite their knowledge of children on the premises.

500 police officers shot 10,000 rounds of ammo with automatic weapons at the house. The police commissioner then ordered to bomb the house, with a helicopter dropping a satchel bomb, a demolition device typically used in combat, onto the roof. After detonation, officials let the fire spread throughout the neighborhood.

No one was ever prosecuted.

I REPEAT, no one was ever prosecuted.

1985. Imagine the stories we still don't know about.

Today marks the fifth year anniversary of the massacre that took place on June 17, 2015 in Charleston, SC.

5 years after Emanuel AME massacre, what’s really changed in South Carolina?

The state and the nation mourned in unity and, spurred by pain and the incredible forgiveness the victims’ families offered the killer, rallied behind a historic act — the removal of the Confederate flag from the S.C. State House grounds.

Sheesh...that was huge for me , due to being born there...

They had military machine guns , on the rooftops ,
trying to protect themselves...government came in ,
and destroyed them...and the neighborhood...

Assholes !
