Nice! Vegetables and flowers were never my thing, but I always enjoyed having my own pumpkin patch back in the 90's. If I ever try it again, I'm going to grow them out of half barrels or large pots. I don't have the energy or patience for keeping a garden weed free any more.
I used to love being in the garden at dawn; you felt like you had actually accomplished something before breakfast!
So, this is the first video I’ve seen that raises my eyebrows. Some points to consider.
The truth the government doesn't want you to know about shelter in place

What are we, a bunch of backslidden gardeners!? My yard is pathetic at the moment. 🥴

Food problems coming? Thoughts?
I hope this is a progress the way america treats animals for mass production to satisfy the insatiable need.
It pains me to know animals are put to death but then they were going to get slaughtered anyway. Americans eat too much meat comparing to other countries.
Hopefully this will reinforce everyone to rethink the way they eat and the way they raise animals supporting small farmers.

I completely agree, Layla. I detest big agri for how they've swallowed up family farms.
I have two things to say the farmer:
1) Why are you plowing under your vegetables when you could donate them to food banks and the local community as other farmers are doing?
2) The Namibia beef deal was signed in 2016 , and has absolutely NOTHING to do with covid-19.
https://www.globalmeatnews.com/Article/2020/02/26/First-beef-exports-sent-from-Namibia-to-the-US
Also, the final approval was LAST September, again, BEFORE the coronavirus. Lastly, the quality of the meat goes through the SAME rigorous inspection and approval that US meat does.
Final corrective actions cleared Namibia to export its first raw beef to U.S.
USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service sent it’s auditors to Namibia this past September to conduct a foreign equivalency audit for the country’s raw beef exports to the United States. And on one level, it was a fairly simple assignment.
[ . . . ]
Over four days, from Sept. 23, 2019, to Sept. 27, 2019, FSIS auditors came up with an “action plan” for Namibia to follow in addressing the audit findings. The audit, which determined that Namibia’s beef inspection is equivalent to that of the United States, was just released to the public on Feb. 21. Two days earlier, the Meat Corp. of Namibia (Meatco) made its first shipment to the United States.
[ . . . ]
https://www.foodsafetynews.com/2020/03/final-corrective-actions-cleared-namibia-to-export-its-first-raw-beef-to-u-s/
All of this was a part of the African Growth and Opportunity act—which has NOTHING to do with covid-19.
The farmer seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth saying starvation is coming while pointing out 860 tonnes of beef have hit the shore from Namibia.
It is a perfect opportunity for Americans to help each other out, rather than plowing under food that could be donated. It's also a perfect opportunity for people to do a bit of RESEARCH before they believe everything they read or watch.

Florida farmers donating produce to food banks.

Publix is buying excess milk and produce from farmers — and donating it to food banks
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/publix-buying-excess-milk-produce-from-farmers-donations-feeding-america-food-banks-2020-04-22/
Here's an agency that will glean the fields and deliver the crop to food banks.
Society of St. Andrew - Donate Crops | End Hunger
And look, you even get a tax-deductible receipt at year's end:
♦ In gleaning areas, our volunteers will glean your leftover crops. A trained supervisor will be in charge. And the Good Samaritan Food Donation Act protects you.
♦ We’ll deliver the food to food banks, churches, pantries, soup kitchens, and other feeding agencies. There is no cost to the agency.
♦ Hungry people receive fresh, nutritious food, thanks to your generosity.
♦ You’ll receive a year-end letter acknowledging your charitable donations for your use as you file your taxes.
♦ We’ve been doing this for 36 years – currently distributing 25-30 million pounds a year – it works!

Sooo much here, carpe.
First, a basic definition of exponentially:
ex·po·nen·tial·ly
adverb
1.
(with reference to an increase) more and more rapidly.
"our business has been growing exponentially"
2.
MATHEMATICS
by means of or as expressed by a mathematical exponent.
"values distributed exponentially according to a given time constant"
How can this guy ( whoever he is ) say that Bill Gates did not mean exponentially in the context of definition one? He can't.
Next, this guy ( whoever he is ) says that "viruses do not grow exponentially". Au contraire, and I'll quote from MathBench > Population Dynamics Exponential Growth and Decay since he likes mathematics so much:
A virus will typically spread exponentially at first if there is no immunization available. Each infected person can infect multiple new people. SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and Ebola are two such viruses whose impact to affected areas can be devastating. Knowing the rate at which they typically spread is important when you are trying to contain and treat an outbreak.
https://mathbench.umd.edu/modules/popn-dynamics_exponential-growth/page15.htm
Carpe, really? Really? This is what you're listening to? This is a prime example of someone taking a thing so far out of context from its original intent. It reminded me of that video posted where a woman was interpreting Trump's subliminal message within his message.

That's how one and society becomes exponentially ignorant of the facts - blindly reposting the information handed out by others.
