Does everything happen for a reason?
Someone told me that everything happens for a reason and only adds to enlightenment with lessons learned. With so much evil and misery in the world today, what lessons can we learn?

The Shallow thinking
on
lessons learned
can not bring
the reasons
why
we do not seek
the why's
for the pain
and all the misery
that we see on our screen
with a sad
safe space belief
that pity
a little
sympathy
thee odd
tear
with a few minutes
of empathy and grief
group hug
all better now
we have done
our bit
no need
to march
to protest on the streets
to demand
what the damaged children
really need
the human touch
to bring back
our moral spine
no matter the cost
to help the kids
it is only then
one can say
lesson
learned
it will never
happen

Once upon a lifetime throughout
Seasons ---- one after another
and another, anew
Past anon, and now,
I waited ----
though not very patiently ----
touching many hearts, lives who
volunteered to intersect & infect
while I, in retrospect, learned

though I had forgotten our beginning. . .

the onset to our living.

We will make it a reason to happen,
That’s the way humans work around here.
We’re a party just made to be rappin’,
It’s the season to walk around bare!
It’s been spoken “a body be praised”,
We will make it a reason to happen.
That’s the way Mother Nature was raised,
Let the worship begin, gums a‘flappin’.
We don’t spend alla time just for nappjn’,
There are plenty of things to think of.
We will make it a reason to happen,
Like the times when we’re fallin’ in love.
Even when I am down I feel good,
And my bare naked feet are a-tappin’.
People gridlock the venues for food,
We will make it a reason to happen!

You were made to be loved and to love
With all of your heart. Even as you are
Sinking all you have to do is look above
The dense clouds and see the North Star
Shining bright like a compass. You were
Given a reason to be born and walk with
The ground below your feet. The liqueur
Gives you courage and as the wordsmith
Inside of you emerges from the ashes it
Gives you the strength to live a life you
Dreamed about. You choose to either fit
In like the perfect puzzle piece or to do
What the world has never seen before;
Become the reason to walk back to shore.

Was something I never foreseen
I’ve have had my highs and my lows
