It was at the great camp three miles long
that we came together to prepare
with war songs, sun dance visions & smokes.
The lodge poles numbered like stars, & the
herds of ponies from distant ridges
reminded the bluecoat Crow scouts of
worms in the grass of rolling plains that
rippled in the heat, while campfire smoke
rose lazily by the river’s bend.
Men painted themselves with half-faces,
white hail stones, jagged red lightning bolts.
Women gathered children & struck camp
as warriors on their painted ponies
rode off, horsetails and feathers waving.
Eagles fly beyond sight, into the
dust of the enemy, where it is
a good day to die.
The image is of the figure of an indigenous Native American male. The figure is made of polymer clay (fired in a kitchen gas oven) and painted with acrylics.., and is only 3.75 inches high. Both figure & image are by me, Jade Pandora.
Pride
A proud wound is a thing
That doesn't want to heal
It the heart will bring
So the mind can't feel
The vulnerability
Of a psyche transformed
By brutal honesty
But this fear transformed
Replaced by fear of lies
Allows the heart’s reveal
Embracing all the whys
Of things that make life real
In weakness hides a gift
A beauty like no other
A balm to heal the rift
That wounded pride cannot recover
That doesn't want to heal
It the heart will bring
So the mind can't feel

Sight angles that will blind the ship into sees
Side ways looking words a slur of linguistics
By old rapscallions and the criminally hazed
Enslaved spell seekers with magic 8 ballistics,
Shaking hand twisting lies into superb novas
Stealing the gifts from the horses big mouth
Good then bad to indifferent way foolishness
The silly shibboleth shows with foot to mouth,
Brick a brack ship nonsense to unknown seas
Reconstruction of the self realization train sets
Origami folded nature of man into new shapes
Sacrifice in the 5 senses lowered the bail sets,
Doctrine cool silver tongued pimp night moves
Divine intervention out of phase of the moon
A rupture introspect tare of a soul inner room
Then 7 songs sung at each of zodiacal 12 noons,
7 and 12 then made a trip to the ocean to fish
Pretty morning "to neck" always with smile and kiss...
