( a Sonnet )
đŒA boy dropped in a dime and chose B2,
The bubbles in the juke lit up the place.
He grabbed his date & showâd me what to do,
I swayed with loveâs abandon on my face.
đŒTo hear our favorite song for the first time,
âTwas never meant to be the one we heard.
To dance wâ perfect guy in perfect rhyme,
I listenâd to, lip-syncing evâry word.
đŒThe way he studied me in like was such;
He loved the way the music fillâd my dress.
We moved around without a single touch;
A curious reaction nonetheless.
đŒWe often change the words of how itâs sung;
This song will always be our number one.

There is a mystery behind your eyes
Like something Iâve never seen or heard
Itâs something beyond my comprehension
Itâs something that I canât find the right words
There is a clandestine tinge to your smile
When your lips move the way that they do
Thatâs when I long to kiss them and caress them
