Strider, the rules state one poem per poet. Please can you tell me which one you want to keep and which one you want to discard. Thanks.

Oh whoops, silly me Missy, the first one please.  I'll delete the second one and save it for a rainy day.  Thanks, Strider

"In the mind of a reject"

Forever branded as a reject
The blood that runs through
Is sacred to the last drop
I stand the last of my kind
Yet, I receive no relief
No love, no acceptance
I only ask for reverence
To fuel my motivation.
My life a calamity
I try my best to overcome
With no clear sign of "family"
Alone as always
I stand as one
A child born into ice
Forced to be nice
But where does this get me?
How can I smile forever?
This will never get me anywhere
I need information
I must learn to become
Better than my father
To over ride my pro-creator
Only then will my soul rest easy
It must be better
overachieve and stand above
It's about time for my redemption

Journey of Faith

http://www.peopleoffaithseries.com/images/pof_cover_lg.png

I've been soul-searching
Got lost, can't find my way back
Shadow of DEATH lurks
Trying to steal my SOUL

I thirst for KNOWLEDGE
I hunger for the TRUTH
My WISDOM was shrouded
With clouds of DOUBT

Gather around people of FAITH
Let's embark on a new ARK
Sail into the UNKNOWN
And take a  giant LEAP
Into the RIVER of DARKNESS
Until we reach the HEAVENLY GATES

It doesn't matter how we get there
As long as we arrive together as ONE
Leaving the RAINBOW behind us
The SEA of TRANQUILITY awaits
For those who walk
In the VALLEY OF PEACE

With just a ripple of HOPE
We can cross that river
Through the bridge of SALVATION
Weary as we carry our BURDENS
Everlasting PEACE is our reward
For taking the same journey
Leaving nobody behind

(RAINBOW - refers to multi-racial group with different religions)

Drain Me

Lost hearts gather on the city skyline
like rumbling storm clouds, seducing
sporadic tears fall onto deserted streets,
warm tar vapour is inhaled into my lungs.
The cross fall draws pain into the stream
washing me away in you, into exhilaration,
as momentum builds volume and velocity
pulling me under. You drain me, instantly
my heart is torn from it’s cage, through
the vortex of our intoxicating fantasies.

I seek you, child
delivered into this underworld,
a labyrinth of hardened veins
beneath the foundations of reality,
silently bleeding life
into rivers of black silk.

We wade
through loaded chambers
of cast stone revolvers, that verge
into gothic catacombs, descending
upon encompassing arches.
The damp air echoes in your wake
urging me to succumb to your ways.
My mitigations overwhelmed
by the flow of mystic feelings.
The feeble eye of my flashlight
only revealing parts of you
that you want me to see.

The invisible force of the undertow
draws me deeper into uncertainty.
Our minds wary of the perils
that lurk in the smothering pitch.
The pitfalls, rodents and serpents
of want, need and absence,
consolidating our isolation
toward the outflow, into the wild seas…

I am found. My child delivers me into the light.
She raises me up and fills me, instantly
my heart is torn from the underground
with timeless wisdom, like a whispering storm.
I escape death, but it’s certain, the pain I embrace
from my regrets, will be the death of me, again.

bandages

i wanna re direct the 220 cable
from the outside main breaker
run conduit directly six feet down
into the earth
that holds you now

i wanna sing my new song
so loud
it crests and falls
through that pine box

spill a draft
on purpose
to the floor of the whole in the wall
where it matters
to none

blue collar rock and roll
reminisce at volume ten
until the possibility
of apparitions
reminds me of you
i never hurt you on purpose
serves little comfort
while surveys shallow depths
of inadvertent death bed apologies

calloused hands
broken fingers
severed digits
all to slow play death for her
i know you loved the woman
different
as i do still

at this point in time
i don't think there will be
any more babies
to wish i could have told you about

california has one though
a beautiful bed of flowers i believe
not afraid to demonize a deity
subtle sighs and ok daddy
distract from suicide
i still dry heave the past
and remember how your father banished
a man on an indian motorbike
later to find he was the bad of his wonder
still just a man
better known to you know who
as where i got my ghastly ways

these things james was never to know
he'd already figured
the arithmitic of licorice
the same cookies from last year
but they were always here
the more the lines crack my face
the more my mother hates me
because i remind her of you
pleases me

sometimes stars just come and go
one day
i will own a wooden piano
place band aids
on all your favorite keys
so seldom
any will ever play that melody
on any crooked sunday

i owe much of the inspiration here to my close friend and one of my most favorite respected artists. the one and only Light Baron. you reminded me of my father cousin and i had to run with it.....
