GARDEN OF EXCUSES
Place a fence around the Garden of Excuses for habits
To ward off the strays: dogs, foxes and rabbits
That nibble on our fruited seeds and vegetation
Ruining the livestock of our generation.
Don’t allow the rabbits near the carrots
Nor the little foxes near the parrots!
Shun them away from the garden
‘Lest they ruin the garden without pardon!
Your betrayal has no pardon
As you allowed my heart to harden
I created a comfortable cradle
Never knowing it would be fatal!

THE PROMISE
He knelt before her
With sweaty palms and on feeble knees
The future before his eyes forever a blur
As he took his hand in his to make his plea
Opening the ring box – he made his proposal
Wondering with heart-racing pounds if she’d accept or deny
His plea he placed at her mercy or disposal
Seconds seemed long before her reply
Granting her final answer with acceptance
With only a few months to retract her admittance.
Sliding the ring on her finger – he betrothed
As they exchanged their personal oaths
Promising each other...

EL DOLORCITO
Tengo un dolorcito
Entre medio de los dos huesitos
Del vertabrae celebral
Que ya no me deja ni celebrar
Sino admitirme al hospital general.
El dolorcito
Entre los dos huesitos
Tiene un pulsar del corazoncito
Que me late al ratito
Como revoltillo de un batido
Hasta llegar a molestar mi pobre brazito.
De vez en cuando me es de fastidio
Aunque se rian la gente como basilo
Pero necesito un medico y no asilo
Para que investiguen la causa del dolorcito
Centrado en el huequito

Busy-Busy Beautifully-Buzzing
Kind of Day
Bottling Golden Malted Honey
For the Bubble-Blowing Honey-Bee
Busy Buzzing Bottling Honey
Jumbo Bundled Bumble Bee

PRIDE COMMENTARY
My reluctance and refusal to transgress
After I have already progressed
Cannot be deemed an attitude, character, personality, nor trait
Of Pride - but one of humility and respect
Both - for the Creator and for self...
It's a complete surrender - not to senseless selfishness
But to meaningful selfless-ness...
Pride hides behind the dark, thick curtains of self-dependency
and self-reliance. Humility shines its light on one's plans
Knowing our plans are co-dependent on the Creator
Who determines the every step of a being's daily life's...
After I have already progressed

HAPPY SPRING DAYS
Happy colors bloom in spring
As bumble bees and hummingbirds step out to sting
Pretty trees all dressed with their leaves
Poignant silence drifts at ease
Yes! Rustled silence drift with breeze
Springtime bursts with vibrant hues
Pastel pinks, blues and yellows too
Ravens, foxes, and easter bunnies
Introduce themselves in springtime funnies
Napping, hopping, nibbling honey
Gone are the days of winter shunning!
Days of spring last not so long
Are here today and tomorrow gone
Yelp and play and sing and shout
Spring...

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAYS
HAPPY RESURRECTION DAYS
He came from heaven to the earth
A little lower than the angels from birth
Pleasing His Father up above
Powered in prayer He showed His love
Young man wise as serpent gentle as dove!
Recalling today the day He gave up His life
Entering the heart of Jerusalem without a strife!
Soldiers up in front - up the streets
Until Golgotha He did reach
Recalling ALL He had done:
Redemption, Healing, Wonders and Signs all done for us through the Son
Entering different cities and different towns
Chastised...

Germy-Squirmy Little Worm
The most clever – yet so firm
Plotting more scheme for what you yearn
Schemes, snares, deceptions going for the fiery burn
Ruining good apples with your germs!
O Germy-Squirmy Little Worm
Gleefully striving on yet not having yet learned
Whimsically strict and forever stern
Infesting people with your germs!
What wage – in the end – might you earn?
When having wasted your time transmitting your germs
Capturing innocent souls under vile terms!

CRACK'S CODE BLUE
Crack kills and that’s no joke!
It once killed my pocket broke
As my luggage wheel struck the sidewalk crack
And my worn-out heel cracked outback!
I wibbled-wobbled on a cracked low-pump heel
As a zoo waddling seal!
I took a tumble to the ground
Onto the soiled and grassy ground
And, as I fell, I cracked my nail
The pain flushed me pail!
Cracks – cracks – all these cracks
On roadsides, sidewalks, and bicycle tracks
And, can I have you believe, I heard a crack
On a duck’s resounding “Quack! Quack! Quack”
When I sat by...

Wondrous beauty so unforeseen
Body tall, straight, and lean
Curvy at the hips, thighs, and waist
Hazel-grey eyes like coated glaze.
Luscious lips – thin and red
Mouth that feeds on fresh-baked bread
With golden-blonde layered strand hair
Her gentle sun--tanned radiance glares.
Loyal-bright and genuine white
Wholesome purity - halogen light
Sheer virgin-beauty standing there
Prim and poignant – naked and bare -
Like a perfect photographic portrait of an artist’s imagery
Her demeanor comes across like linear lines in...

of eternal ascension
Fitting for loved ones, lovers or between friends
Band of eternal circle with neither flaw nor end.
Round and round – no corners to turn
Infinite lessons, yet, still left to learn

Venturing hidden corners still to come
