Rusty Flower
Sleep in this mud
My dear rusty flower
Release all reality
Soak in the florescent shower
Vibrant cicadas fly above
The sea at your leaf-tip
Growing up silent walls
Your special scent-trip
Slowly fading into eternal slumber
Ambient shades of sea-deep blue
Swimming through veins
Touching all the violets too
Thematic eyesores invade bliss
Seemingly reflecting inner turmoil
A wandering eye, a stray bullet
Blood now runs deep in the soil
A brilliant tiger lily, you once were
Among floating castles of kings adore
Now a rusty flower, asleep in living death
A vibrant site of spring, you are no more.

It's actually both, it's about being shot whilst on drugs :D Actually it is about someone who was shot and got hooked on the pain meds then ventured out into other drug use and is now dying from an overdose, there are other ways of reading it though, I typically try to keep things open-ended, were it can be up to the readers interpretation. Thanks for reading!
