New Opportunity

Its been almost a month since my girlfriend kicked me out of our little apartment at the Paradise Valley Low Income Housing Authority and I found myself at a cheap roadside motel near the CO border.
An investor had just decided to buy this place and turn it over to two buisness partners, tessie, and troy when i showed up. troy offered me a free room in exchange for some labor, and now a few weeks later tessie asked me if I would stay on, help them with the tremendous task of repairing and maintaing the motel and the old restraunt nextdoor they bought as well. She told me that I don't need to worry, my room is safe and that she is going to get me a legit paycheck as soon as the investor gives them their budget .
I actually find myself wanting to be a part of her and troys business, help them get it off and going. They're both two great people and I feel like I'm wanted here and that I'm a valued part of their little business. Tessies sister. Bea and her ol man Rick have become friends of mine as well. Rick is a tattoo artist and is going to hook me up with free ink since on top of the motel I've been helpin them refloor their trailer and fix sum other stuff around their place. I mostly work here  at t he   or over at Rick and Beas from the time i get up till I'm to tired to keep going so I dont have time to think about my fucked up life or my broken heart.
I keep in the back of my mind the fact that they could use me for labor and then just tell me to get fucked. That'd be their bad though because I've got keys to the rooms, and I know how to get into the restraint where a bunch of valuable old signs are. If they screw me over I'll take the signs, strip the motel of copper pipe, and thrash the restraint. Oh and call the city and bbb about the black mold in the rooms.
I really hope it doesn't go down like that though.
