Image for the poem one thin dime in time

one thin dime in time

And a life it was said
taken upon a day
scared of the night
it shriveled inside
left only with it's thoughts
keeping curtains closed
embracing succour mind
slept, slumped upon the bench
awaiting a daylight come
roam, roam solemn rome
Grundy Monday, till every Tuesday
of which spark laden prey
held out in kids room
pushing into night school
save your prayer, for gone well be
push on but conveyance, sled, slip
willow in breeze
as cloud within shroud
rained buckets of years
A life it was took
but within a small nook
rested dusty air of which
one but care
took the hand of fare, reborn
to life,
again
out there
