The Melody Maker
In twilight years, when most would rest,
A teacher, Richard, stands unblessed
By common age's slow decline,
His spirit bright as vintage wine.
With poems of old his heart does burn,
To music's realm he now does turn,
A project born of love and time,
V2Melody, a work sublime.
Each morn he rises, passion-filled,
To craft new tunes with verses skilled,
From Hardy's Wessex to Keats' truth,
He breathes in age-old lines new youth.
No profit seeks this gentle soul,
But to unite in art's control
The written word, the sounded note,
On waves of sound let poems float.
In cyber-realms, a space he's made,
Where adverts fall and verses fade
Into sweet melodies that tell
Of beauty's power, art's deep well.
So let who will come heed his call,
To hear how music can enthrall,
When joined with poetry's strong might,
V2Melody, a rare delight.
